How Keanu Reeves kinda hot is the boy looking lately?

I was blown away by his performance in Mysterious Skin, his work in Brick kept me hanging on every scene when I otherwise would have given up, and I was apparently the only person in America who went to see The Lookout in which he once again turns in breakout star/leading man work.

It's an amazing string of roles that should get him big time recognition sooner rather than later. It appears his next movie is John Madden's Killshot in which he plays a psychopathic young upstart of a killer. I am little ashamed to say how unbelievably hot that concept sounds. Love him.

His website. Check out him singing a song from Sesame Street.

Growed up nice. I want to have his babies enjoy his work.

Seriously. This kid kept up with John Lithgow during 3rd Rock. I totally think he'll earn an Oscar someday... if you know. He keeps working.

I remember thinking he would be cute if he cut his hair when he was on 3rd Rock. And he totally is! But that's kind of beside the point, for this guy...he's just really talented, and even if I don't love the movie, I always respect his performance. I'll see anything he's in. I think he's leagues above everyone else in his age group (or whatever, you know what I mean).

He was in Ten Things I Hate About You. Even if he hadn't turned out hot and talented, I'd still love him forever just for that.

I met him briefly at the press conference for The Lookout, and he did something I've never seen any other actor/director/producer do in five years of quasi-professional junketeering. He shook hands with everybody and introduced himself. "Hi. I'm Joe." It sounds so simple, and maybe it was just buttering the press folks up, but it was still such a pleasant and pleasantly humble gesture that he may have earned a spot on my Cool List for life.

Also, can act. And apparently pick scripts.

I've only recently discovered the new awesome grown up version of Joseph Gordon Levitt. I crushed on him when he was a cute and funny long-haired boy.

There was a nice NYT article about him that came out just before The Lookout came out where someone said he is one of 2 or 3 truly talented actors in his age group, along with Ryan Gosling and James McAvoy.

I've liked him ever since I saw him on Regis and Kelly a few years ago. He told a story about how he was doing a play and there was a wardrobe mixup. Instead of going out on stage in pajamas he had to go out in his boxers, and he could clearly hear a woman in the audience say to her friend "He's so skinny!" Heh.

So far he seems to pick roles because he wants to act and not because he wants to be famous, so that's nice.

Minor quibble: Is it too late to put the hyphen in Gordon-Levitt?

I love him. I've loved him since 3rd Rock. And then I saw 10 Things I Hate About You, and it was awesome, and he was awesome. And I adore his website - he seems like a genuinely cool dude that, like sparklymouse said, just wants to act, not necessarily be famous.

Doh, for some reason I thought he was a three namer not a hyphenate.

Aw, I love that interview with Jeff Daniels, and I am in no way biased toward him because I live in his home town. And that pic of JGL layed out, in the other magazine?

Huzzah.

I never watched 3rd Rock, but I loved him in 10 Things. And his performance in Mysterious Skin was incredible. I haven't seen Brick yet, but it's in my Netflix queue.

Plus, you know, he's hot. *is shallow*

I really like him. I enjoyed him on 3rd Rock From the Sun; that show was so well-cast and hilarious, and everyone worked so well off of each other. Even though as a whole I didn't care for Brick, I thought he was very good in it, and am pleased to see the route that he is taking with his movie roles. I've got both The Lookout and Mysterious Skin on my Netflix queue.

I was going to echo the surprise at how hot he's gotten, but then I remembered him making a pass at Topher Grace on That '70s Show and realized that the signs were there all along. He's just yum. I'm glad that his career is going so well.

Buddy! Oh my god, I had forgotten about that episode! He really was good there, too. "You're so cuuuute!"

That's exactly what I was thinking! Well, not 100% exact, as my thoughts went more along the lines of "looks like a pretty version of Heath Ledger". But still - it's almost scary.

I guess I can see the Heath Ledger comparison around the mouth, but overall I really don't think they're that similar looking.

Well I think when he was younger he was totally Heath's minime, but lately I think he's much more Keanu looking, probably because they both played hockey players named Chris coping with tragedy.

Also I think Heath is an asshole, and JGL is adorable, so the less I think about them looking alike the better.

I cannot believe we live in a world where foxes like Ryan Phillippe and Joseph Gordon-Levitt can't get laid, and douches like Zach Braff and Wilmer Valderrama have no problem snagging total babes. I am disappointed in my gender.

I think I missed something somewhere along the line because I still don't get why Zach Braff is so hated. (Although I completely agree with your point. Except I think you forgot to mention Brandon Davis.)
