Ugly Betty

Yeah I wasn't angry with him, because he clearly felt badly about it, and he did apologize, and I do think ultimately his Natalie bonding is about NOT dumping all his drama on Betty and about the two of them figuring out how their new relationship works. He DID just lose his wife so, some slack can be cut.

You know, this season has really been worth it just for the Justin/Mark interactions. I wish all kids like Justin had someone like Mark to watch their backs and give them guidance when they need it.

I actually thought this was a pretty good episode. Betty's "bad boy" was cute, Justin is made of awesome, and it's interesting to see Wilhelmina's life fall apart so spectacularly. I'm eagerly looking forward to the day she figures out what her horrible daughter is doing.

I'm also kind of invested in Daniel's cult story, which surprises me. I grudgingly admit that I wanted to see what Level 5 is all about. And even though Natalie is evil or whatever, her new hair is fabulous.

So does anybody know when we'll be getting the fourth season here in the UK? We're five episodes away from the end of the third thats all, and I don't think I can wait for six months to see more Betty.

Ayahuasca? It reminded me of the episode of Weeds where Nancy's Mexican boyfriend gave her the tea to cure her headache/take her on a trippy spiritual journey.

I think the whole idea of Level 5 is that Daniel will hallucinate that Natalie is Molly, thus becoming even more dependent on her. But is the end game Daniel signing over all his money to Phoenix? Because I thought he didn't have that much left?

Justin's storyline was fantastic, up until the part where he announced that he isn't gay. I know he's just not ready to say so, but I thought hanging out with his gay mentor was his way of embracing it. It just goes to show that even kids who have supportive families have trouble coming out.

The way they'd been tiptoeing around it before the last episode was starting to make me think the network had told them never to mention the word "gay" around Justin -- like it was OK to have Marc around, but not OK to have a gay kid on the show, and as long as they never say it, they have deniability. There was that kid last season but they were "just friends" and they never spelled out why Marc should be Justin's mentor, etc.

Was this ep the first time they went for anyone calling him a name? Conspiracy, I tells ya!

Maybe Natalie and the cult people don't know that?

I am liking Betty more this year than last year, but she is still one of the least interesting characters on the show.
