Movie Character Crushes

My two big ones are Peter from The Chronicles of Narnia and Howl from Howl's Moving Castle. Anyone else?

Indiana Jones. The guy knows history, thinks artifacts belong in a museum, and looks like Han Solo. How could I not love him?

Mmm. Peter. I feel so gross, but man, that kid is fine.

I definitely crush on Neil from Dead Poets Society.

Isabel Lahiri in Ocean's 12. Although that's as much a Catherine Zeta-Jones crush as an Isabel crush. More seriously, Evelyn Carnahan in The Mummy.

For me it's Casey Affleck in 200 cigarettes because he looks damn good in eyeliner.

Mr. Darcy in the A&E Pride and Prejudice!

Also, Jason Bourne from the Bourne movies. Neo from The Matrix. Matt from 13 Going on 30. Christian Bale's Batman/Bruce Wayne. Christian from Moulin Rouge. Westley from The Princess Bride. Legolas from LOTR.

I'm the first to mention Captain Jack Sparrow?! Most guys I know like to mutter things like "Looks like a dirty woman" or "but he's gay!" when women express that opinion. But so, so hot. Also, Commodore Norrington. Especially in the second movie. Guh.

I'll echo Indy. Can't forget Han Solo, either. Jason Bourne! I don't actually find Matt Damon that attractive, but I'd totally join Bourne as a fugitive from a global conspiracy.

I love Captain Jack, but I don't actually find him attractive (please, put down your pitchforks!). Disgraced (and scruffy) Commodore Norrington, on the other hand? Yes, please. I can't believe I forgot to include him on my list.

Mr. Darcy in the BBC Pride & Prejudice, Mark Darcy in Bridget Jones, Jamie in Love Actually... I think I see a pattern.

Aragorn, Westley from Princess Bride, Noah Wyle in The Librarian, Jack Sparrow, Scruffington.

Guh is right. When I saw POtC1 I was bewildered by all the big fuss about this posh dork in a silly hat. But when I saw him all scruffy in POtC2, it was like "Hello!" What a difference a beard can make.

Mmm, dirty scruffy Norrington. Yes, it took alcohol and pig feces to make me realize what a staggering pillar of sex he is.

And a hearty word on the hottie heroes that tend to populate Ghibli films. Especially Howl, especially as voiced by Christian Bale.

I seem to share this pattern of crushing. Strange, huh?

And Westley from "The Princess Bride". And James Dean in "Giant". Seriously, Liz Taylor made the wrong choice. That scene where he barges into the party covered with oil screaming? Gah.

Jack may be so obvious as to escape mention. But I have agree with both of those. I'm also quite fond of Will, so... basically, I'm just a hoor.

I'm also a total Aragorn girl. Both Peter and Mr. Tumnus were adorable. Prince Philip will always be my favorite Disney prince for no good reason. And I'll be a rebel: I had a crush on Mr. Darcy in the new Pride & Prejudice.

So did I! And despite the crap hair, I finally got what the deal with Mr.Bingley was. I like the new P&P, though.

I like Mr Bingley much better than Mr Darcy, just in general. Especially in the new P&P. Darcy just doesn't appeal to me, but yay! Mr Bingley does!

That's nothing to be ashamed about! I mean, come on. Hot out of costume too. Heck, I'll take them both.

Word on Peter from Narnia. Yeah, I'm older (not by much), but wow, he's all cute, brave and protective.

Norrington is also hot, in costume, in a scruffy costume or out of it. Killer voice, too. And while I'd certainly never turn down Jack Sparrow, a more realistic option is Will Turner. Sure, he's a little naive, but you can't beat a good heart, a lot of resolve, a great swordsman and a guy willing to put his life on the line to save his fiancé. Oh, and he's easy on the eyes too, silly hats and all.

Rick O'Connell and Ardeth Bay from The Mummy movies. Heck I'll throw Jonathan Carnahan (Evie's brother) in too. But especially Ardeth Bay. Facial tats are hot.

Movie!Boromir from Lord of the Rings is such a vast improvement over Book!Boromir. So brave and protective of his poor brother (who I can crush on too). Makes me cry every time.

Alec Trevelyan in Goldeneye. Never has a Bond villian seemed like such an appealing choice. Plus his line about him and James sharing everything? HOT.

The Stranger in Dear Frankie. It's Gerard Butler wearing blue jeans and sweaters, looking very intense, and bonding with a young boy by pretending to be his dad. It hurts my ovaries to watch it.

I'm also in with the love for Indiana Jones. He was hot AND smart, which is always a great combination. Oh, and he could use a whip. That really caught my attention as well.

I still want a Jake Ryan. I will never not want a Jake Ryan. Or, for that matter, a Lloyd Dobler.

I'm kind of a hor for teen movie guys, though. Patrick Verona still does it for me too, and Josh and Murray from Clueless.

Other than that, I'm also gonna agree with scruffy!Norrington, Captain Jack, and Will. And thanks to Casino Royale, I kindasorta want James Bond.

Josh! I feel bad for forgetting him, since I was just talking about him a couple days ago. Oops. And yeah, I like Patrick Verona too. I just watched 10 Things last week.

And since so many of you have admitted your love for Will in POTC, I'll admit that I like him too.

A couple others that I thought of: Faramir from LOTR, Noah from The Notebook.

Jason Bourne is absolute hotness even if he leaves trails of bodies in his wake. So glad The Bourne Identity is finally gonna be played on a constant loop on USA.
