I'm pretty sure there was a thread called "Songs you hate" before, or something similar. I was just wondering if it was ok to make one, because I wasn't sure if there was one before or if I was just making it up because it is nearly bedtime.

Oh and i wasn't sure if "hate" would be the right word to use or something because ... I don't really know, but I thought I better check first!

I wasn't sure where else to put this, so I hope it's okay. I started a thread called "Literary Quotes in Everyday Life." Would it be possible to get that changed to "Memorable Literary Quotes"? Because I realized that I may not use a whole lot of them in my EDL, but I sure do remember them.

I was hoping to start a topic about the Jossverse, from varying perspectives - how pretty his actors are, how he structures relationships, what his daddy issues are, what a Firefly: The Musical would look like, how he manages to fit super-powered teenage girls and fembots into the same worldview.

I didn't think I should post it in Celebrities because that seems to be more about upcoming projects and talk of personal lives. Maybe Television - since most of his work has been in TV? Does that sound like a plan?

I get what you said about that seeming to be more about personal life and upcoming projects, but considering most of the topics you brought up would have to do with analysing his thinking and speculating about what he might have done, I think it would fit better in a thread about him rather than a discussion thread in television. Especially since we already have Buffy, Angel, and Firefly threads.

Feel free to bring up topics like "What would a Firefly musical episode have been like?" in the Firefly thread, or ask the other questions in the threads they most fit (for example, how he structures relationships or whether he has daddy issues could go in his Celeb thread).

Would a thread on iPod games be ok? According to my iTunes, downloadable games is a new feature, and I'm just kind of interested to know which games people play (if any), which are the better games etc.

How about general downloadable games? So it could cover mobile phone ones as well (I love that I can play Scrabble on mine)

That's a good idea ... the thread could be more involvable for people without iPods that way since most/a lot of people have mobile phones.

I'm not sure what to call the thread, heh. "Downloadable games" seems a bit too broad. I'm thinking more along the lines of games for small portable devices (such as iPods, phones) but calling it "downloadable games" would also end up covering the PC games you can download off Yahoo. Even "Portable downloadable games" would be a bit too much as it could go into things like GameBoys and PSPs ...

I've got two ideas for new threads, both in the Snarkfest Community section. One might bring the drama llama, though, so modly advice would be appreciated.

The first is non-controversial - just a thread on differences between the UK, US, Oz, NZ, Canada and everywhere else. There's such a culture divide that you can usually keep a good discussion going for ages. There's a similar thread on TWoP, if anyone wants toi see what I'm talking about (though that's primarily focused on explaining things in the UK to people from other countries.) No idea what to call it, or I'd have started one already.

The my other (potentially troublesome) idea for a thread is one on "Confessions" - what you've done in the past that you really shouldn't have. I'm a bit concerned it could spark arguments, though.

I kind of have my reservations about a Confessions thread, but I'll go with whatever the rest of the mods decide. The cultural differences thread might be fun in the Community section.

My two cents about a Confessions thread - they can be a lot of fun, and not necessarily problematic. Example: someone might ask "What's the worst thing you ever did as a kid? And did you get away with it?"
