Hi everyone,
As you all know, we moderators have lives in the real world as well as running the board. Sometimes the real world flares up and we can't spend much time here. Because of this we've decided to add one or two new people to our moderating team. Our system of moderation is to make decisions based on consensus. No moderator, not even me or lezopez, acts unilaterally without asking for input from the team. As a moderator, your responsibilities would be to give input on how to handle situations on the board, watching for any problems arising on the board, sending PM warns or posting on behalf of the moderating team in threads (after discussion, as mentioned previously), fixing botched tags, and generally being a presence on the board. Anyone from the community can apply. Just PM me with the answers to the following questions: 1. Do you have any experience with moderating a community? If yes, where, and how big was the community? 2. Why do you think you would be a good moderator? 3. How long have you been a member of Snarkfest? 4. How much time do you spend on the board? 5. What time of day do you usually spend time on the board? 6. What time zone are you in? 7. What is your favorite section of the board? 8. What other message boards do you read, if any? 9. Tell us something interesting about you. vwlphb and the moderating team (Please have your application in by next Tuesday.) |

Hi everybody! Thanks to everyone who sent in applications for the moderator position. We have made our decision as a team and we'd like to welcome Lissa and The Glen on board as our new SF mods!

Oohh good choice. I can't speak of The Glen, although I have full confidence, but I have been a mod on another board alongside Lissa for YEARS, and she does good work.
