shadowsphere21- 12-01-2006
Hi, I'm shadowsphere21, also known as shadow. I'm a girl, and, uh...I'm 25, and I'm from NY. Just joined 2.0 back in July, talked to some really cool people, and made my way to B-list. *sigh* I have a degree in fashion illustration, and I like music, movies and doing naughty things, heh heh...
bluebird- 12-01-2006
Hey everyone! I am bluebird, I am a 23 year old Canadian gal. I lurked mostly at Fametracker and posted a few times at Snarkfest under a different name. I'm pretty shy but I'm hoping I can step it up and participate a bit more this time around! Thanks for getting this new board up, you guys are amazing!!!
What else about me....Well, I'm starting an MLIS degree in january, I am addicted to Facebook, I love music to an insane degree (and am always looking for new stuff), I'm into photography and InStyle is my bible.
MLIS- 12-01-2006
Bluebird, where are you doing your MLIS?
*points at username* I did mine at UWO.
Also, I'm fascinated by the number of librarians and library students on this board. An interesting little cluster, I think.
Sesquipedaliatic- 12-01-2006
My name is Sesquipedaliatic, or Sesqui, or any other way you'd like to shorten it. Like a remarkable number of people, I'm on my way to becoming a librarian (however much I might deny it). At the moment, I'm a Lit and theatre student in the lovely mountains of North Carolina. I spend far too much time on the internet, in the theatre, or buried in a book. I lurked at the old board, and decided I should get over myself and actually start chatting. And thus, I am here. I love lots, including words, dorks, films, books, and other single syllable words.
Someday, I'd like to take over the world. Recently, I've had a few setbacks with my plans, so I think I might just resign myself to building the largest library ever.
spooloflies- 12-01-2006
Um. Hi! I haven't joined a message board in a while, but I'd been thinking I should, and then... well, I'm easily convinced. Also, poking around I recognize a lot of names, so... hi!
I'm Fox1013 in most other locations, although I'm phasing that out because I've had that screenname for like nine years and frankly, am kind of tired of associating myself with the me who was in middle school. (This name is from Big Brother, which is clearly so much better.) I'm currently twenty-one (one week til twenty-two, actually), and am at grad school getting two masters' simultaneously (library science and children's literature).
I watch far too much television, much of it reality, which is a new and exciting development. I read a lot, but I honestly no longer remember reading grown-up books. Currently, my apartment is filled with a lot of action figures which, I'm pretty sure, are planning an uprising. I am very boring, but if it's helpful I can pretend otherwise.
And hi.
bluebird- 12-01-2006
Hey MLIS, I'm going to UWO! Any tips on surviving it?
I think its awesome that there are so many Librarians / Future Librarians / Library students here (Hi everyone!)...We're taking over the world it seems, one forum at a time!

Don't forget your archivist cousin.
Or maybe you'd prefer to forget your archivist cousin.
spidey_88- 12-01-2006
I'm spidey and I'm 28. I live in Jersey with my hubby and toddler daughter. I work in mental health full time and I'm a part-time grad student. I spend more time on the internet than is healthy for an adult with a full-time job and family.
ganymede- 12-01-2006
Hello, I'm ganymede.
You know that creepy, silent person who kind of lurks in the corner at a party? The one who eavesdrops on your conversations with your companions, weirdly chuckling to themselves, perhaps picking their nose? Yeah. That's me. Well, maybe not the picking-the-nose part. Generally.
I've been around the various incarnations of SF, mostly lurking. I suspect my posts (even if I include FT posts) might total ... uh ... maybe ten? I haven't been prolific, to say the least.
I'm 35 and I'm from Scranton, PA. I'm a trapeze choreographer for Barnum & Bailey. Okay, that's a lie .. I'm really an office manger for a heating company. I'm also a spinster with the requisite cats. I really and truly have no life. I watch too much television, obsess over crossword puzzles, and like to bake. I hate pork chops, brown socks, and snow. I earned my degree in graphic art, but I'm rather a slacker, so ... a paper-pushing career it is.
Hello, all!

Pah! Call yourself an archivist! The oldest item in our archive is from 1256. How far back does your puny so-called archive date from, O Feeble Excuse for an Information Professional?
(Perhaps I've been spending to much time in the Toad God's thread).

LIES! Everyone knows that history didn't start until Columbus sailed the ocean blue in fourteen hundred and eight... I think. WHATEVER! My point, and I do have one, is that history didn't start until Columbus started looking for AMERICA!
And who cares about that old stuff anyway? USA! USA!

My dear, please to understand that it's not the AGE, but the QUALITY.
Er, of the records.
Good job channeling our favorite Evil Omniscient Trans-Dimensional Amphibian, though.
