escape- 11-30-2006
Ooh! Another South Carolinian!
Melissa, 32, live in SC and am just as warm as RitaTome. I work in pharmaceuticals, which is sometimes just as boring as it sounds. On top of that, I'm a consultant, so I'm not home very often and usually under all kinds of client pressure. I currently have 2 fingers of my left hand tingling and it sucks.
Me Talk Pretty- 11-30-2006
Hi, my name is Me Talk Pretty, which I stole from David Sedaris. I was mostly a lurker at the old Snarkfest, but am trying to be more active here.
I am 22 and live in the Chicago area. I have lived here all my life except for the last four years when I was going to school in Missouri. I graduated last May with degrees in Communication and Spanish. I am currently unemployed and having a hard time finding a job. At least having no job gives me plenty of time to mess around on the internet, read, and watch TV.
wombat- 11-30-2006
Hi I’m wombat, 27, a long-time lurker from Fametracker days. I’m another Londoner, and I’ve been doing my PhD for far too many years so should probably get a proper job. I’m distracted by knitting, baking, reading, Doctor Who, and SF, so the jobs not likely any time soon. I didn’t post on SF 2.0, but the prospect of losing you all forever has finally driven me to it.
Jasmine- 11-30-2006
Hi, I'm Jasmine, and I'm new. I've poked around here briefly before and always thought it looked fun, and ka-*test*-('")i finally pushed me over the edge into joining. I'm 31 and live in Northern California. Nice to meet all of you!
Eris Rising- 11-30-2006
Eris Rising, somewhere in my 30s, living in Los Angeles.
I've been involved with Snarkfest from the beginning in various capacities. The recent unpleasantness has motivated me to start posting on a regular basis again, and to stay involved this time.

Jas! *glomp* I'm so glad you're so susceptible to peer pressure!
lisaslobe- 11-30-2006
Hello! I'm lisaslobe, 24, living in Florida currently, though I'm originally from up north. Recently graduated with a degree in Journalism, which will in no way prepare me for a career in anything other than Headline Creation, but that's cool. Turn-offs include Mel Gibson, under-prepared poultry, and people who bother me while I'm attempting to write in my gournal.
two shoes- 11-30-2006
Hi. I'm a grad student in Northern California, and a longtime lurker until fairly recently at SF2.0. I always wondered where my friend got all of her celebrity scoop and she finally told me about this wonderful place.
And I'm 'two shoes' because I've always been known as a goody-goody. I haven't done much in life to dispell that rep, but I do love to get a little vicious about celebrities.
tothemax- 11-30-2006
I'm 28 and live in good ol' Jersey. I've been involved with SF since the beginning and I was a Screen Legend for about a week before the implosion, not that I'm bitter. No. Not at all.
In my spare time I like to create abominations in the eyes of the Lord, plan the demise of my various nemises, and breed the finest horses for my soldiers to ride when they consume the earth in an orgy of death of destruction.

| Hey all, it's nice to everyone again. I'm 27, grew up in Canada but am based in Glasgow, Scotland for the next 3-4 years, depending on how long it takes me to write up the ol' thesis. I love to travel, and would really be quite content if a rich relation gave me the excuse to go on a worldwide treasure/clue hunt to gain my inheritance, but sadly none of my relatives are that eccentric. When I'm not pining away for backpacking adventures in far-flung lands, I knit, surf (the cold and threat of frostbite are effective measures of keeping one on the board) and watch movies. Though not at the same time... yet. |
Diego Zanzibar! Yay! You know, I still remember Diebio.
My name is woolhat, and I'm posting in this thread to boost my post count. I'm also a Northern Californian grad student (Diego used to work at my school!), so it's great to see more people from around here on SF.
EvilBearHunter- 11-30-2006
Hi guys! I'm EvilBearHunter, feel free to call me EBH. I'm 17 and from Vermont. (I am also the living embodiment of everything you've heard about Vermont. Even the Birkenstocks.) I love a lot of things, Steven Colbert, Harry Potter, my cat, linguistics and Heroes among them.

Awww yay, I was wondering if you'd find the new board! Woo!
Hello everyone, I'm GannetGuts (sometimes gannet_guts) here, there and everywhere. I'm obviously strikingly original. I'm 22, Australian and a Creative Writing student.

| QUOTE (GCB @ November 30, 2006 12:11 pm) | | Hiya, I'm GCB. I used to post regularly at Snarkfest 2.0, but then degenerated into a lurker. I'm 28, female, work in television production and live in Johannesburg, South Africa. I therefore know what Charlize Theron REALLY meant when she made her "I had a fahm in Ahfrica" speech at the Oscars. I mostly lurk in the Blind Items thread. |
What did she really mean?
|
She grew up on a plot in Benoni. Ahfrican Fahms are huge and green and populated by fabulous wildlife. Plots in Benoni are small and dusty and populated by goats and chickens and the occasional rusted out car. They're both farms in Africa in the same way that Fed-Ex and Placido Domingo are both singers.
The Glen- 12-01-2006
Hi everyone. It's nice to see the familiar faces (well, you know what I mean) back again.
Diego Zanzibar- 12-01-2006
It's good to be back, MichiSichi and woolhat! And I too remember Diebio, and the time you raised the rabble up against my Overlordiness, woolhat. Good times. Hope school's going well, btw.
