dinahmoe- 11-30-2006
Howdy. I'm dinahmoe. I'll be 37 next month, and I live about 20 miles north of Boston, right below Cape Ann. I love snowboarding and the ocean and food and gossip and pretty clothes and being funny and the word "pants".

I have a degree in music (tenor saxophone) so of course I am an underwriting analyst at a medical malpractice insurance company in Boston. My office is dangerously close to Filene's Basement.

Hey Diego Zanzibar good to see you back!

I'm Swarley (a name I totally swiped from How I Met Your Mother).

Okay, seriously? Best name ever.

It occurs to me that I started this thread and didn't actually introduce myself. Durr.

Kate. 26. Denver. Married (as of August). Not nearly as funny as I think I am. Enjoy the color pink. Am (not very) secretly a (dorky) 12-year-old girl. Live in Denver. Grew up in Minneapolis. Work in social services. Love sparkly things. Couldn't swallow for a long period of time this spring (and yes, I've heard all the dirty jokes). Currently have cold toes.

GCB- 11-30-2006
Hiya, I'm GCB. I used to post regularly at Snarkfest 2.0, but then degenerated into a lurker. I'm 28, female, work in television production and live in Johannesburg, South Africa. I therefore know what Charlize Theron REALLY meant when she made her "I had a fahm in Ahfrica" speech at the Oscars. I mostly lurk in the Blind Items thread.

It's legendary.

Swarley just rocketed into my top ten favorite people of all time.

What did she really mean?

Tabby- 11-30-2006
Hi, I'm Tabby. I'm definitely one of the more chronologically gifted Snarkers - I'll be 47 next month. I live in Minnesota with Mr. Tabby and our lovely cat, Elizabeth Bennet, usually called Lizzy. I'm a language geek, I sing in a chorus, and I do all kinds of needlework. Except for knitting, which has driven me into raving lunacy (perhaps not that far a drive) when I've tried to learn.

Kiran- 11-30-2006
Hi, names Kiran (I know, I'm original), I'm 19, I live in Winnipeg, am currently in my second year of university as a Human Ecology major, formerly known as the Mrs degree, Although I suspect knowing me, I will change my major yet again before the end of the year. I loved all incarnations of snarkfest, and I'm one of the Kirsten Dunst defenders. Yeah, I dont get it either. I'm the Katesi to her Lindsay Lohan.

And I'm hoping this board will continue to keep me sane through finals.

rat kitten rat- 11-30-2006
Er, I'm 35, single with a boyfriend who lives with me on weekends, live in NC but am actually from CA (Bay Area) and grew up in Greater London (big up to Bromley! or not). Like lots of books -- mainly 18th and 19th Century authors (female, usually) -- and cheesy movies from the 60s and 70s. I'm a professional depressive, a cog in the machine that is big government, and get way too excited about things.

inversed- 11-30-2006
I'm currently freezing my ass off in the Great White North of Madison, WI where I am in grad school. I'm 24, originally from Kentucky which I consider one of the grea-*test*-('") states in the union. I'm desperately awaiting winter break when I can get a big ol' stack of books from the library and just read, read, read. And not about international governance, which has been absorbing most of my reading time this semester. I spend most of my free time (which is minimal lately) screwing around on the internet and exploring Madison's many, many bars.

mrinsouciance- 11-30-2006
If Tabby is everyone's SF grandma, then I'm SF's grandpa, tipping the calendar at 45 years of age. I'm probably the only archivist here, and I live in the gorgeous yet somewhat damp Pacific Northwest with ever-patient and lovely Mrs. I. I enjoy the SF Community threads the most, but watch plenty of tv and movies and listen to music so my smartass commentary tends to get spread like manure all over the boards.

And my new career aspiration is to be the Toad God's number one sycophantic lackey.

SassafrassGreen- 11-30-2006
Hi! I'm SassafrassGreen and I'm a 19-year-old college student from the lovably blue state of Maryland. I'm poised to become a sociology major and I'm an executive member of the Pride Alliance, our LGBT community on campus. I'm foremost, a writer and I write as much as I can. I'm currently working on a novel and I hope to have it published someday. I also have a weakness for paisley, tartan and other such retro prints. Scarves too. I'm a really social guy and I love meeting new people and chatting it up, feel free to IM me anytime!

I'm a new member here and I'm looking forward to a good time on this forum.

donna sumeria- 11-30-2006
Hey guys, I'm donna sumera (duh). I didn't post that much at the old SF, but I'm hoping that will change here, mostly because it's coming up on finals week and I need procrastination badly. I'm 21 from New Jersey, studying Film on Long Island.
This means that in about seven months or so I can look forward to a life of unemployment. I'd like to be an editor, which means I get to spend tons of time screwing around on my mac.
I clearly love talking about myself and could go on plenty more, so I'm thinking I'll be spending more time in the Community threads than I used to.

I'm Wilhelmina (or Mina for short), I'm German and when I grow up, I want to be a lawyer. Or simply rich and soulless, whatever comes first.

Tsathy? You heard that? You know, I, for one, welcome our new amphibian overlord. (Come on, someone had to do it.)

Toady!

I'm a 28 year old grad student studying mechanical engineering in Pennsylvania with glasses like Bill Gates'. I'm looking for a transdimensional cigar-chomping pirate-ninja side-kick from a secret island of warrior women. Together, we'll fight crime.

Bless you, my child. I wasn't going to post my age because I was feeling the gap...

RitaTome here and at TWoP when I feel up to the task of posting there, OffTopic elsewhere. And I'll see Tabby's "almost 47" and raise her a few months of "been there done that".
I live in SC. You may translate that as South Carolina or Satan's Crotch. Both are correct. It is currently a muggy 73 degrees and I'm contemplating switching on the AC for the second day in a row.
I live with my honey and our 2 dogs and 1 insane, but wonderful, cat. Come to think of it, the honey is insane, but wonderful, too.
