Hey, a fellow UC student! And you're at infamous party school, UCSB? I'm a proud English major at UC Irvine! How've your lit. studies been going, Malenky Devil? I've had a horrible week writing three fuckin' papers back to back. Hope you've had a less stressful time.

Oh, and let me not be a toall asshole to all our other newbies and such. Welcome to you all! Hope you enjoy your indefinite stay here at SF 3.0. I expect that you won't hesitate to ridicule me and/or my opinions if you see me around.

naughty zoot- 12-04-2006
I'm naughty zoot. I'm happy to see the other "chronologically challenged" members here as I'm 47 myself. Married with a 10 year old son and too many cats. I work at an elementary school in the San Diego area, and I really want to move back to western MA because life is just too flipping expensive here in SoCal.

psammead- 12-05-2006
Yay! There's now at least 3 Snarkers even more mature and wise than me! (I prefer to think of it as a 'chronological advantage' rather than challenge). We should be charging the young'uns for the knowledge and sageness we're passing on to them!

Damn right!

Er, what were we talking about, dearie?

Jenny Sparks- 12-05-2006
Ahhhh god can't believe I found you lot again!
I was on the old board and I posted every once and a while.

I'm 22, have lady parts and work in a museum. I love snark, chocolate, knitting, reading historical fiction, Samurai Champloo, surfing the 'tinernet and procrastination.

I'm originally from a village about 30minutes drive outside London and currently I'm living and working in the South West of England.

I recently graduated Uni and spent 3 months working in the USA, which I loved (much love to the Americans YO!). My name isn't Jenny (it's Charlie) but I'm a total nerd and my favourite comic book series is The Authority.

Okay, naughty zoot's mention of Western Mass has brought me out of the woodwork. I am a 33 year old attorney who made my way back to Western Massachusetts five years ago after a few years away. It's not as cold as you might think once you get used to it. I am a TV addict and love Orlando Bloom and the Big Lebowksi way more than I should.

Lind- 12-05-2006
I'm 23, female, English, living in a wee old town near Oxford. I'm temping in random offices at the moment while I try to gather the money and requisite experience to go back to uni for a library/information master's. Yep, I'm another one.

I like books of all kinds, music of most kinds and TV of some kinds, even though my attention span for the small screen is pretty short. I also have a love/hate relationship with origami.

From your mouth to my husband's ear.

Lissa- 12-05-2006
I'm Melissa, and at 44 I'm hanging with the geriatric crowd. I know one of you whippersnappers has stolen my Geritol, and I want it back.

I'm not a librarian, but I may or may not have been known to play one at my husband's request. Um...er...I mean I'm an office manager. Yeah, that's it.

I'm here because of Tabby and Dinahmoe, so you have them to blame. And LittleItalian, it's good to see you finally delurking!

Queen Esther- 12-05-2006
Naughty Zoot, I'm from a New Mexico, and went to school in Western Mass for a while. Seriously, the adjustment to winter wasn't that bad. You can tell your husband I said so.

stargirl- 12-05-2006
Hi, I'm stargirl, age 29. My best friend recently had her second set of twins (totally unplanned which is why she now has 4 kids under the age of 3) and my other close friend moved away a few months ago, which would explain why I spend a lot of my time "socializing" on the Internet, though I lurk more than post.
I teach fourth grade, love to read and shop online (but I'm cutting back or trying to). My celeb crush is (and has been for a long while) Joaquin Phoenix, but unless he's promoting a movie he's out of the headlines, so no point just yet in starting a thread.

Miffy- 12-06-2006
Oooh, I've never posted here before! I'm bad!

Anyhoo, I'm Miffy, but really, I'm 25, Australian, and a teacher. Oh, and I'm a girl.

Once upon a time, I received a private message on IMDB. I have no idea who it was from now, but they sent me a link to Snarkfest 2.0 and said, "You should join our forum! I think you'd like it there."

And I did!!

I think that person was my Snarkfest Angel. If you're that person... tell me!!! I always wonder who it was, and why they decided to send me a PM. Maybe it shall forever remain a mystery!!

whatthedeuce- 12-06-2006
Cool story, Miffy! I wish I had an awesome Dickensian tale of being led to my beloved SF by a mysterious benefactor!

Queen Esther- 12-06-2006
I came when PrincessCleo linked to SF v1.0 after the FT meltdown. So, thanks Cleo.

I just turned 24 and am a law school student in New York City, which is at times very, very fun, and very, very stressful.

I'm 25, and halfway done with my second year of law school. Which means I'm technically halfway done with law school. Yipes! Anyhow, I live in a city an hour north of Fargo, my hometown, while I go to school.

Me too, me too! I'm 26, female and a 2nd year law student in NoCal. I'm originally from the San Francisco Bay Area and I go to school near Sacramento. I think my dream is to one day become a legal librarian, but I might just be stressed about my job search stuff (I'm not ready for corporate life yet). I currently hate Admin Law and I visit SF during Evidence.

I love TV, David Sedaris essays, the Oakland A's and walks in tule fog. I think umbrellas are for wusses, unless they happen to be super cute.
