Hey, I'm Jensa. I am 36 but have yet to acutally grow up. I live in a lovely part of Oregon with my 12 year old son. I am not a librarian, but I do love the library and Doctor Who.

Your math makes me uncomfortable, dearie!!

Funny, my math teacher said that a lot too :-)

I'd been wondering where the frilling heck you'd gone. Look at you, all "of the legal drinking age" and stuff!
I'm roly, 29, from NJ. I have a very boring job in finance that comes with a very annoying boss and plenty of time to spend talking about pop culture. Favorite topics include, "Pacey Witter: Best TV Boyfriend EVER," "Everwood's Cancellation: Why Dawn Ostroff is the Devil," and "Brenda Walsh: My Personal Hero."

Can't remember if I did this over at 2.0, but I'll do it here anyhow.
I'm 25, and halfway done with my second year of law school. Which means I'm technically halfway done with law school. Yipes! Anyhow, I live in a city an hour north of Fargo, my hometown, while I go to school.
I like music (used to do stuff with radio in undergrad and commercial stations), reading and writing. I love TV, and if you want to know, SVU is my favorite Law & Order, but when I watch, I have started to dissect some court things, and it reminds me too much of evidence rules lately. Oh, and I also like hockey, as we have a great D-I WCHA team at my school, and an awesome arena (REA) to boot.

I'm in New Brunswick; a proud Maritimer here! I have several friends in NFLD, great, fun place. I got screeched in the last time I visited.

John Crosbie said it best: "You can always tell the Newfoundlanders in heaven. They're the ones who want to go home."
My mom grew up in St. John's and while we all live in Ontario now the pull of down home is very strong for all of us (I've never lived there, but it's home). I actually joined a choir here that sings Newfoundland and Atlantic Canada music and most of the members of the choir are displaced Newfoundlanders -- some nights I just like to go to rehearsal and sit and listen to them all talk.

Hey! Another masochist!! I'm just about halfway done too...and it too is just hitting me right now.

Oh, I forgot to mention in my previous post that I am a page (like an intern) at my local public library. Librarians unite!

Maybe one day when you grow up you'll be a chapter.
psammead- 12-03-2006
The collective noun for library pages is, of course,
a Book

I'm glad I was born in Newfoundland so I'll never have to consume that foul, foul drink. Nasty stuff. I think Kevin Spacey's right. It's been distilling for centuries.

Sadly there are more Newfoundlanders living in other parts of Canada then there are in Newfoundland. I love that you listen to them talk. I swear that if I ever leave I'm never changing the way I talk.

How-do,
I'm a 31-nearly-32-year-old misplaced Texan living just outside of Washington, DC. We're moving to Austin within the year, as soon as our house is built. I have one (1) husband, one (1) daughter (referred to here as the grayeaglet, and one (1) dumb but sweet cat named Dante. My interests include parenting (by default), reading, the environment, and a large variety of music, theatre, and TV shows (both current and past).
I joined SF at the end of 1.0, rolled over to 2.0 (ah, the days when there were only 50-70 posts per day and I could keep up), got to A-list and then languished there after giving birth and losing a good bit of my precious internet time. Things are actually worse now that I've gone back to work, as I had the misfortune to choose a place where posting boards are specifically forbidden. (I may try just reading w/o logging in, once I'm no longer a New Employee!)
I post most often in the TV threads, but I love lurking in General Fame Talk.
MommyBeast- 12-03-2006
Hey, y'all. I also don't think i ever introduced myself at the old boards. I'm MommyBeast (you can call me Christy), I'm in the "generationally-challenged" group since I just turned 38. I'm married, have 3 kids & live in the suburbs of Chicago. Two of my kids have special needs - Steven has Asperger's Syndrome & Henry has Down Syndrome. I run my own little digital scrapbook company called
Butternug Squash Designs, so most of my time is spent designing, scrapping & mommy-ing.
I have an "pretend celebrity boyfriend" obsession with Jason Isaacs & Alan Rickman, so if anybody's posting about them, I'll probably show up. Cuz that's how I roll.
Malenky Devil- 12-04-2006
After many, many years of existing as Fire Woman, as far back as the times of Fametracker (so a long damn time), I've decided it's time for a change, and more people know me by this name than FW now anyway since it is my lj name and the name I use on chat.
I'm Malenky Devil, a 20 year old, junior year literature major at UC Santa Barbara (though I'm originally from Sacramento). I like reading, writing, drawing, I have a deviant art account of the same name, and I'm always, always the only west-coaster in chat.
