I love The White Stripe's cover of Pattie Page's "Conquest". I'm not usually a fan of them (the only other song I really like by them is "Seven Nation Army"), but I've listened to "Conquest" non-stop since I bought it.

"Bottle It Up" by Sara Bareilles, in which she kind of sounds like a female Jason Mraz, if that makes any sense at all.

Omg, yes! I just got her album to review the other day and she's so very cute (needless to say, I gave her a positive review). I love "Many the Miles."

YES! Many The Miles is made of win.

I think "Fairytale" is my very favorite song on the album, but I also heart the ballads. "Between the Lines" and "City" are absolutely gorgeous.

I LOVE Fairytale. Also Many the Miles, Bottle It Up and Love Song (of course). Bottle It Up absolutely sounds Mraz-esque!

eventide82- 04-16-2008
Yeah, Fairytale is a good one too.

I think I just love the entire album!

I LOVE about half the tracks on the album (pretty much all of the ones already mentioned) and I really like the rest.

Topic: I'm listening to "City" right now. Sooo pretty.

This isn't a new album, but I just purchased it after recommended by a friend of mine: Rodrigo y Gabriela. It's a duo who play classical Spanish guitar. It is AMAZING. It's been crack for my ears for the past 4 hours. It's so intricate and beautiful. There is also an amazing version of Stairway to Heaven done just with guitars. It pretty much has blown my mind.

The Chordettes Lollipop, to get the bad taste of Lil' Wayne's version out of my mind.

I heard that on the radio during my commute the other day. It's pretty cool.

Shalott by Emilie Autumn. It's taken me a while to really get into her (particularly her voice), but I like her a lot, now. The album Opheliac is a lot darker and heavier that Enchant, which was the first album of hers that I got, but still good.

I listened to a lot of Billy Joel last week before seeing the dance musical Movin' Out over the weekend, and now I can't stop listening to his songs.

Well, after reading about Rodrigo y Gabriela here, I had to run out and buy it. (Thank you Barnes and Noble, for your three-for-two *indie* music sale). It is so much fabulousness my brain is going to explode.

I'm listening to a lot of Kanye lately - both Estelle's American Boy and his Flashing Lights. Kanye may be an arrogant ass, but DAMN he is good.

I have I'll Work for Your Love by Bruce Springsteen stuck in my head so I've been listening to it non-stop. Hoping it'll go away. It won't. Not that I mind. There are worse earworms.

I've just finished watching Bruce and the Seeger Sessions Band's mini (45 minutes) concert they did for the BBC in 2006. I am not yet quite done seething that I didn't get tickets, or even know about it, but let that pass. After reading his eulogy for Danny Federici earlier today, I needed something that wouldn't make me cry. Who can cry when Bruce forgets to count the band in at the start of Jacob's Ladder and has to stop and start over again?

Adele's "Hometown Glory" is my favorite song right now. I love it SO MUCH. And it makes me homesick.
