Jordin Sparks and Chris Brown. No Air. It's teh crack.

The Lady of Shalott- 03-29-2008
"Apres Moi" by Regina Spektor. I'm not crazy about the rest of her stuff, but this song I could listen to every day for the rest of my life.

I Am A Cliche- 04-01-2008
"Sharkey's Day" by Laurie Anderson

Jaws Theme. It's pretty tight. Good to dance to.

I Am A Cliche- 04-01-2008
A New Orleans jam session with trumpeter Sharkey Bonano

My station of choice has been playing goofy/ oddball tracks that rarely see the light of day normally.

So Frank Zappa'a Dancing Fool's been kinda stuck in my head, until the Shatner's Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds knocked it out. And how!

Duffy's "Mercy" has been playing at the back of my head all day. I can't wait until her album comes out in the States.

A friend of mine recently got me hooked on Neko Case. It's not usually the type of music that I listen to, but I love her voice. I picked up her album Blacklisted and I've been listening to "Things That Scare Me" incessantly.

Oh, nikita, Neko is the best! She has a voice that could cut glass. I absolutely love "Fox Confessor Brings the Flood," and my favorite song on "Blacklisted" is "Deep Red Bells." The "does your soul cast about like an old paper bag" part kills me every time.

Mike Doughty - "27 Jennifers." Can't stop listening to this one, it's so catchy.

Blacklisted is my favorite album of hers, but there are songs I adore on every one of her albums. "Fox Confessor Brings The Flood" is gorgeous.

I also love Furnace Room Lullaby from the album of the same name.

Also? Ka-*test*-('")i's sister used to live next door to Neko Case. I love telling people that.

God, I love that song so very much, and that's my favorite part. Her voice is so cool and unique.

Very true. It's one of my favorites off the new album ("Navigating by the Stars at Night" is pretty great, too).

Right now, I'm listening to Julian Berntzen. I cannot get "Rocket Ship Love" out of my head. But I love it. I can't wait to hear the rest of his new record. I'd be surprised if anyone else knew him because his records aren't available in the US (or many places outside of Norway, to the best of my knowledge) but if you like Ben Folds, Sondre Lerche, etc. you should definitely check him out.

Oh, I also love Neko Case.

I've just dove head first into a lot of Mark Lanegan stuff. He has a voice that is both terrifying, inspiring, and pure sex, often at the same time. "Revival," a song he sings with the Soulsavers, is one of my favorites, and the video is absolutely perfect. His band with Greg Dulli, the Gutter Twins, is also pretty great.

And speaking of Neko, iTunes says my most played song is the New Pornographers' "Challengers." God, what a heartbreaking song.
