"New Soul" - Yael Naim.

Stupid Mac commercials.

"Ten," by Monika Brodka. It's in Polish, but I love the melody. Somehow I don't feel comfortable asking my dad to translate the lyrics to a pop song. With my luck it'd turn out to actually be a song about the singer's fervent desire to make sweet, sweet love to every man, woman, animal, vegetable, mineral, and road sign in existence. That, or communism.

I'm listening to that too!

But I think it's a pretty sweet song.

KT Tunstall's cover of I Want You Back. Over and over and over again.

I like it a lot too, but its stuck in my head.

Dachelle- 03-17-2008
"Gilt Complex" by Sons and Daughters. I saw them at South by Southwest, and they were fabulous.

The entire album is pretty fab!

Currently listening to The Silents - Things You Learn. It's crazy and psychadelic.

Listening to this, more out of curiosity to see if Zooey is really talented or just living off her acting reputation. She's actually got a lovely voice, and I'm surprised at how much I'm enjoying the album, given that it's not really my style of music.

"Let's Dance To Joy Division" by the Wombats. Best. Song. Ever. It's going to be my favorite for at least two weeks.

Hooray! I'm making a South by Southwest playlist of bands I saw to upload to LJ soon, so I'll definitely be putting some more Wombats in. I'm so glad I got to see them this year. Last year I stumbled into their show for about two songs, became a fan, and made a point of marking them down on my schedule when I found out they were coming again. They are so. much. fun. live.

Today I'm listening a lot to "U.R.A. Fever" by The Kills. Apparently I have a thing for bands where Kate Moss dates the lead singer.

I finally got the two songs that Vampire Weekend performed on SNL, "A-Punk" and "M79," on my computer. I really like both of them; "A-Punk" is catchier, but "M79" has some really beautiful strings.

New Frontier by Donald Fagen. I like it when the boss is out of the office, so I can use my headphones.

Yeah, both are catchy, and I have Dachelle's handy LJ linkage to credit for hooking me up with the mp3s!

My favorite is "Cape Cod Kwassa Kwassa".

"Peggy Sussed" by Underworld. Thank you Sunshine.
