I'm hooked on Jack's Mannequin - The Mixed Tape is a good song. Also Copeland's You Have My Attention. Also also every Matthew Good song ever, as per my usual habits. MG never gets old.
Everyone is lovin' Regina Spektor, and I've never heard of her. Guess I'd better go check it out...

In honor of her Grammy nomination, "Get Together," Madonna. On repeat. Never gets old.

Kate and Anna McGarrigle's "I'm Losing You". Pretty.

"The Pot," Tool. BECAUSE I HAVE RAGE RIGHT NOW, Y'ALL.

Win Some, Lose Some by Robbie Williams. I'm not a fan of most of Robbie's newer stuff (exception Rudebox) but this older stuff is pop music perfection, IMO.

Re Your Brains by Jonathan Coulton. I was listening to NPR this morning, and they were interviewing him. When I got home I immediately looked up his site. This song is hilarious, especially the chorus:
All we want to do is eat your brains.
We're not unreasonable.
I mean, no one's gonna to eat your eyes.
All we want to do is eat your brains.
We're at an impass here,
Maybe we can compromise.
If you open up the door
we'll all come inside and eat your brains.

"American Music" by The Violent Femmes. I needed my own private dance party, y'all.

Oh, this is embarassing...
Brooks and Dunn, "Santa's Comin' Over to Your House."
(It's pretty good, though. It's country with a big band streak.)

"No Hay Igual" by Nelly Furtado, and I desperately want to shake it (except I'd scare my roommate. Again). I simply love her.

I just finished listening to Bjork's cover of "You Only Live Twice." I've always thought that a lot of Homogenic sounded like what would happen if she did a Bond theme, and this proves that such a thing is as awesome as I imagined. I love it like a massively loveable thing.

Oh, I'm popping my Nelly Furtado cd in right now. I don't know spanish, but I sing along anyway. I think I get at least 1/3 of the words phonetically right.

The Freemasons remix of Beyonce's "Deja Vu." I heard it in a gay bar and I had to find it. It's outstanding.

Eva Cassidy's "Songbird," because I was just talking about it in the Songs That Make You Swoon thread.
The Lady of Shalott- 12-14-2006
Loreena McKennit The Lady of Shalott. God, what a beautiful voice. Incredibly pure and lovely. I could listen to her sing the phone book.
