"Sing" by Annie Lennox. Great song, and for a good cause.

It promotes the use of AZT to prevent transmission of AIDS from mothers to their unborn children.

"Inner City Pressure" by Flight of the Conchords. I'm finding it even funnier after hearing "West End Girls" by the Pet Shop Boys.

"In the Mausoleum" by Beirut. So much love.

"1970s" by Aberfeldy. So catchy! So kicky! So full of snarky put-downs!

I haven't heard "Waiting for a Star to Fall" in years, but a blog mentioned it in passing and I had to acquire it. Well, I've finally got it and it turns out I love it the same way I did when I was eleven--wholeheartedly.

PrincessCleo- 03-08-2008
Heeee, I've had it in my mp3 folder for years. Because I have no shame at all.

Oh Lord, I love Aberfeldy so much. A Friend Like You is possibly my favorite song ever.

Yay! Another Aberfeldy fan! Do Whatever Turns You On is my go-to drudgework/dishwashing music. I just wish they toured more.

Now I'm listening to Aberfeldy. I almost forgot I had them on my iPod, for some reason. Thanks for (unintentionally) reminding me!

"Monster Hospital" by Metric. I'm not familiar with their work, but this song kicks serious ass.

Ohhhhh Peaches- 03-11-2008
If you want to hear more Metric, mrinsouciance, "Dead Disco" is really catchy. They're really popular in my area of Ontario.

Sweet About Me from Gabriella Cilmi. It's so catchy.

*scurries off to YouTube*

Okay, that was great. Thanks! How have I never heard of them before? Must wander out of the cave more often.

It is, isn't it?

Also hard to believe she's only 16!

"Red Rain" by Peter Gabriel. The Perfect Album thread reminded me that I should totally listen to him more often.
