I'm listening to Chris Cornell's cover of Billie Jean way too much.

| Weird coincidence. I just recently heard this song and now I love, love, love it. |
It's great isn't it? Their other stuff is really good as well.

Hey There Delilah by The Plain White T's.
Recently discovered this band and I flove them. |
I was just coming in here to mention that song. I didn't like much else on their album, but that song has been stuck in my brain since I first heard it a month ago. It's like a cheesy song that I wish my imaginary boyfriend would write for me. So cute.

In my ongoing love affair with Bon Jovi, I'm all about You Wanna Make a Memory. I really like it.

I'm not actually listening to it, because it isn't available as a single from itunes, but I can't get Daughter by Louden Wainwright out of my head. It was the closing credit song from the movie Knocked Up, and I loved it. I actually think Mr. Wainwright's version is a cover, but I love his voice on this song.

Funny, I posted about this song on the old board almost exactly a year ago now. I have no idea why it took so long to catch on, but I'm glad it did.

Hey, my sister just mentioned that she's obsessed with this song, but can't find an mp3. Any chance any of y'all can PM me?
In other, more topical, news, I'm listening to "Sober." Again. Some more.

When my younger sister heard the song in the car last weekend, she mentioned that her co-workers loved listening to it last summer. I was surprised because I only started hearing it a month ago.

Yeah, I heard about the song and the band last summer (partially through SF 2.0, I'm sure), but I don't think I ever got around to actually listening to it myself until Fuse started playing the video. I wonder if that had anything to do with its resurgence? (Probably not. I mean, who besides me watches Fuse?)
whatthedeuce- 06-14-2007
That was a nice and simple video. I couldn't stand the singer's crooked teeth though. My sister would die.

This post probably belongs in the Unpopular Music Opinions thread, but since so many people are posting about Hey There Delilah, I just thought I would mention that if I have to hear that song one more time, I may blow my brains out.

Dance Tonight by Paul McCartney. Its so mellow and fun.

In honor of the day, I have Everclear's Father of Mine on repeat. Daddy Issues? Me? Whatever gave you that idea?

Live version of This Must Be the Place (Naive Melody) from Stop Making Sense. I love the intro on the live version.
I've had a thoroughly shitty and stressful last couple weeks, and I need something with an upbeat melody right about now.
