I don't think she's pretty either! But I didn't want to be the one to say it!

Yeah, up to that scene in the movie, I'd been like, There is not enough Awesome Triumphant Dancing (a la Center Stage) in this movie. More Big Dance Scenes, please! But that scene redeemed it completely.

Drew Sidora IS beautiful, and also? I sort of love Mario now.

Channing Tatum is supposed to be really, really good in "A guide to recognizing your saints" so hes reall, really pretty, and can actually act. Which is nice.

Jenna Dewan will always be JT's Britney rebound to me. I do think shes pretty and a good dancer though. And a better actress then the chick who played Jodi in Center Stage.

Jenna Dewan... was that? Oh. Oh, wow.

Better actress, sure. Better dancer? Not in a thousand years.

Take the Lead, which was awesome. It gets bonus points for being about both dancing AND teaching. Also, the lead male student was hot. Oh, and best love triangle ever.

It loses a couple of points for getting "Dance With Me" from The Cheetah Girls 2 stuck in my head, though.

Well no. The girl who played Jodi is in fact a principle dancer with a big ballet company...Jenna Dewan did back up for Justin Timberlake.

Hah! I was totally going to rent that the night I rented Step Up. But then I didn't. And rented Just My Luck instead.

Oh Lindsay. That was really not a very good movie, even though you are totally still pretty and red-headed and wear fabulous clothes. And you really hooked up with one of the McFly boys? Really? Because it was like a Terrible Awful No Good Very Bad Hair Convention on that stage. Tragic, really.

I didn't really rent it, but I borrowed it from my cousin. Hustle & Flow was okay. I'd give it a 6/10. Even though Terrance did give a good performance as Djay, I didn't think the movie was that great. I did the like the song choice at the opening scene of the movie.

I just brought home Quinceanera, and it was pretty good. Next up is The Illusionist -- man, I love working in a video store.

Watched The Matador this weekend starring Pierce Brosnan, Greg Kinnear, and Hope Davis. Not as good as I'd heard it was, but still pretty decent. Greg Kinnear is always just so goshdarn likable in all his movies.

Also tried to watch Stay with Ryan Gosling, Naomi Watts and Ewan McGregor, but about 30 minutes in I gave up. I can deal with drug-induced hallucinations, time travel, ESP, paranormal events, and shaky camerawork individually, but not all at the same time and definitely not all in the same scene.

Try watching Stay again - it will be worth it. There is an amanzing twist at the end. Very creative. Although I know it takes time getting there.

I just watched The Big White with Robin Williams. Oh my goodness it was a really good movie. I can't believe I never knew it came out. My recently deceased husband lived up in Alaska for years and he would have appreciated it for the camera work alone. Really, really good piece. Anyone else see it?

The Descent (uncut), which was really enjoyable right up until the "I want to have it both ways" ending that was a total cop-out.

Also Audition, which I fast-forwarded through a bunch because I was bored. If you want disturbing Asian movies, look no further than Oldboy.

I watched Good Luck and Good Night. It seemed like a tight, fast little movie which I enjoyed, but not necessarily liked.

Down in the Valley, which is good but not great. It just got way too out there for me by the end. But Edward Norton was really great.

Also saw The Covenant (because it was on and I was too tired to move) and it is horrible, poorly acted trash, BUT there were so many pretty boys in that movie that I couldn't stop watching. The abs alone on one of them was enough for me to stick with it, just in the hopes he'd eventually show them again. Still, what a crap movie.

kai- 01-12-2007
Yeah, I fully intend to rent The Covenant, solely for the boy candy.

I don't know if I can watch Down in the Valley now, knowing that Edward Norton cradle-robbed Evan Rachel Wood for real.

I just finished Stick It, which I didn't like nearly as much as I thought I would or should. Or at all, really. I mean, gymnastics = WHOO!, but the plot was not so much.

I am so glad I didn't see it at the theater.

The last movies I've seen over the past few weeks are Evil Dead, Evil Dead 2, and Army of Darkness. Went to see Evil Dead: The Musical between Christmas & New Year's and had to refresh my memory. Yep, still dumb, scary stuff. Still great.
