I agree the bar is intrusive once you notice (took me about 20 minutes), but keep in mind that we don't pay Forumer any money for this forum and so they can do what they want, imo.

By the way, we've been here for 2 years and haven't had a violation of TOS, yet. So I don't think we have anything to worry about.

Nah. I did the standard cleansing ritual with the blood and entrails of a chicken. We're cool.

I've always felt that way too. Sure, sometimes the site goes really slowly or doesn't load, but the forumer overlords are good at responding to problems and keeping the servers up. For a free site, it's been a great home for us these past two and a half years. (If anybody remembers SF v1.0, we left because it would cost ~$40 a month to run.)

So, now that I'm beginning to grow used to the thing, and since I'm focusing on the stuff above it, it's starting to remind me of the compressed credits bar they show at the end of t.v. shows nowadays, with the scenes from next week, or previews of the next show playing above. It distracts me that there isn't a lot of rapid-fire flashing (as the text changes) every fraction of a second, though.
