And the SEVERE CONSEQUENCE was...?
punkysdilemma- 06-25-2007
Would it be possible to change the Harry Potter spoiler thread to the Harry Potter SPOILER THREAD for awhile, with caps? I'm afraid I'm going to click on it by accident once there are real spoilers in there, if it starts percolating back up to the top of the tree.
psammead- 06-26-2007
I was wondering how we're going to deal with the two threads come Potterdammerung. I can't remember what we did for OOTP. Should the SPOILER THREAD be a complete free-for-all the moment the book is officially released while people could use the non-spoiler thread for recounting their adventures at midnight openings etc?
vwlphb- 06-26-2007
Yes. As soon as the book is out, the spoiler thread is fair game. Talking about midnight release parties is fine in either thread, but if you post a spoiler in the non-spoiler thread, SEVERE CONSEQUENCES may not be such a joke anymore. Just sayin.
And we can change the title - I'm completely spoiler-phobic too, so I know how you feel.
punkysdilemma- 07-03-2007
Agh, I totally almost clicked on it just now. All capsify prettyplease with sugar on top?

Speaking of spoilers - cinnamon has some spoilered text in the Movie Theatre Etiquette thread that refers to potential spoilers for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. (Man, how many more times can I say "spoiler"?) She did the spoiler text correctly, but I'm just concerned that someone might highlight it, not realizing that it refers to the book. We're all being so careful here to not spoil the book (and I thank you from the bottom of my heart for that.)

It wasn't really a spoiler but it kind of was, also. But like I said in the now-spoiler-free post, if you connect the dots (and they ain't all that hard to connect), you could be spoiled, which is why I removed them.
punkysdilemma- 07-25-2007
We might need a "potential spoilers" on the fanfic thread for awhile...
vwlphb- 07-27-2007
I think we can trust people to spoil relevant text.

I opened a Colin Farrell thread at the same time as Esme. Could someone merge them? Thanks!

Is anyone else having problems with pages being very slow to load? Every time I've been here this week there has been a message on the lower left corner of each window saying "Done but with errors on the page" with a corresponding yellow exclamation mark. And from time to time it seems to be taking forever for various pages to load.
mrinsouciance- 11-07-2007
I get that same error message at home, but not at work.
And for whatever reason the Blind Items thread ALWAYS seems to take forever to load for me. It's even slower than Blowing Off Steam which, at 300+ pages, ought to be loading more slowly, right?

Um, clicking the quote button no longer works? I get some kind of error message about "files deleted or moved."
The Glen- 11-27-2007
I just tried quoting, and I got the same error message.
