Bad Freema, bad! Seriously - Law and Order over Torchwood? There's so many things wrong with that!
Of course, if she's seen next season's scripts...
I was looking forward to her on Torchwood. I wonder how badly she's burned her bridges with this move.
Assuming the story is true, presumably Freema had a choice between 5 episodes of Torchwood or 13 episodes of the legal drama. Since she's already doing the Survivors remake, she may have decided it's time to get out of the telefantasy rut. Especially since she was completely wasted on Torchwood last season.
Boo to this news. I wanted more Martha!

Career wise it's a smart move, though it might backfire if/when Davies has more largesse outside the SciFi genre to bestow.
I liked Martha well enough, though I think she got some bad writing, especially for her departure. As, from what I've seen, I don't think Freema is a terribly gifted actress, I'm interested to see if that's the writing or if she'll be a lot better with different scripts.
She was hypnotized by the power of Mike Post's theme tune.
Captain Jack and his awesome coat are back to save the world! Hooray!
I love Martha, but I love Mickey as well. I'd love both, but as long as just one of them joins Team Torchwood I'll be a happy camper.
And if Mickey wanted to walk around with a top, I could live with that too.
Does Noel Clarke need Torchwood now his writing/directing career has taken off? It might be a bit of a backward step for him.
In honour of the Big Bang stuff at CERN, there's a special
radio version of the show featuring Martha Jones. It can be downloaded for the next few days.
We're talking about this a lot in the HoYay thread (of course) so I thought I'd bump the thread up.
I just started watching this seriously from episode one last week and I'm loving the show. I'd seen a few episodes before, but like blixie, the poor production design put me off. But I caught a few of the second season episodes and just fell in love with it and then had to go back and rewatch.
I'm just thinking this is good, cheesy fun. I love how everyone is bisexual and how pretty they all are. I love all the characters (including Rhys and PC Andy) and I saw the second season finale before I started my rewatch and it absolutely gutted me. To the point where I'm not sure I want to watch Season 3.
But then, there will always be more Jack/Ianto kissing and sexual tension every which way so I'll probably stick with it.

I feel bad even saying that, because I feel like that's part of the whole Who-verse charm. Hopefully I find time for a marathon soon, because the idea I'm skipping out on boy kissing and bisexual loveliness all over is making me sad.
