Apparently there's a rumour that since Torchwood now have vacancies for a doctor and a computer geek, they could be filled by two people Captain Jack already knows....
Oh man, it would be so cool if >>Mickey and Martha<< could join the cast. Besides, at one time wasn't >>Jake supposed to end up being Mickey's boyfriend in the other world?<<. He'd fit right into Torchwood!
It would also make a lot of sense of stuff RTD has said about there being a long-term >>> game-plan for Martha. Because she was totally wasted in her Torchwood episodes and deserves a lot better. And it would be made of awesome

| I did enjoy this episode but couldn't help thinking I'd rather be watching Torchwood 1909, in which two feisty sadistic lesbians spend their time torturing Captain Jack and wearing excellent bustles. |
Indeed. Instead of finishing my essay last night, I watched the last four episodes of the season back to back. The feisty lesbians were truly awesome and I was quite disappointed that Jack didn't appear to hit on them. Where's his mojo?
As for the finale, wow. I didn't think I cared that much about any of the characters, so imagine my surprise when I find myself weeping for the last 5 minutes. It was just like Doomsday all over again.
We were quite pleasantly surprised at how solid the last couple of episodes turned out. I was expecting one of the departures but the other came out of nowhere yet managed not to feel "tacked on." Solid writing, solid acting, great work all around. Even Gwen (and Rhys!) managed to impress. Just about my only quibble with the finale is how Jack seems to have been so nonchalant about one particular ordeal... okay, he's the hero, but dude. I was wibbling in terror just thinking about it.
Beautifully done, vastly superior to the previous series' conclusion.
That is more brilliant than it had any right to be.
There are so many reasons that it shouldn't have been funny, and yet I'm laughing like a crazy person over here. Wow.
"Captain Jack is an intergalactic MANWHORE!"
Well, he got that right.
That was incredible. It had no right to be as funny as it was.
"He'll calm down when the new Doctor Who starts."

I feel bad for finding that so very, very funny. That part just killed me.
Damn you, The Internet. You made me agree with Hitler.
Five episode run for 2009. I'm hoping the decrease in quantity means an increase in quality.
So, 2009 is sort of an "off year" all the way 'round? Interesting.
