Those are funny! "Pound shop Tom Cruise" made me giggle. (Sorry John Barrowman, I still love you!)
(OT: I see they've done Robin Hood parodies too. Hee hee!)
I love Jack kissing the random police officer.
I cracked up at the character trait badges: "ANNOYING", "DULL AND ANNOYING", "CAMP AND ANNOYING" and "WELSH".
More Dead Ringers. Though you have to be British and unhealthily familiar with daytime tv commercials to get it...
Captan Jack is sleeping with the enemy OK, I watched the first five episodes or so and pretty much lost interest. Though, someone, tell me. Did the season finale reveal that they all had no actual relation to the real Torchwood, and it was just Jack took over an abandoned office, found some gullible semi-competents and told them all it was Torchwood?
Because that's the only way any of it would make any sense to me.

No, but I've been harboring a suspicion that Torchwood Cardiff exists precisely because Jack says it exists. It would be like him to just sort of talk his way into a situation for his own ends, yes? He had his reasons for being there, specifically at that location, and it seems unlikely that "loyalty to Queen and country" is all that high on the list.

Not British, but the unhealthily familiar with daytime commercials bit rings true. (I love digital box, don't ever change!) Those June Whitfield ads are damn annoying.
And that poor girl in the second clip. That must have been some story she had for her co-workers.
I am just happy they are finally going to show it on BBC America! I have managed to watch most of the episodes online but would prefer to see them on my signifcantly bigger TV.
Because I'm a 12 year old fangirl, this sentence took my brain to HoYay Central

What do you mean it's out of context?
Ooh! Looks like we're going to find out a bit more about
Jack's past next season.
Fantastic - I love that site.
Zap - what happened to your starring role with Owen? Do you have exciting on-set gossip for us?
The first episode just aired here, and I found it quite good. Not excellent, certainly not as 'OMG I LOVE THIS SHOW' as Rose, but still watchable. I'm hoping for a lift in quality, though, which I'm expecting from what has been said in this thread so far! Gwen reminded me a little of Rose, which was great, and I loved the references to the Doctor, the Christmas invasion, the battle of Canary Wharf etc.
