Usher's new song "Love in This Club." I thought I hated it. I was wrong.

Poubelle- 04-10-2008
I finally heard "See You Again" in its entirety. Miley got me.

TiffanyNichelle- 04-10-2008
Well she's just being Miley.

I heard "See You Again" in its entirety last night also (I watched Idol Gives Back) and I hate to say that I've finally succumbed to liking something with Miley Cyrus's name on it. Damn, but that song is catchy.

However, I was put off by a 15-year old gyrating on the stage.

Ew.

I heard "Homecoming" the other day, pretty much right after I saw it mentioned in this thread, and dude. It hasn't left my head. I don't understand how I can like that song so much, as I find both rap music and Coldplay to be completely boring. Curious.

She was gyrating in an awkward-teenager fashion, though, so I found it kind of endearing. (And from what I remember of high school and even junior high school dances, it could've been much, much worse.)

I dunno--her music is way more wholesome and age-appropriate than what Britney and Xtina were singing when I was a kid. (I mean, as pop music, some of their stuff might be better quality, but it's not like you have to worry about what messages your 10-year-old will pick up from Hannah Montana.)

Having listened to 'Homecoming' about a billion times since my last post in this thread, I've concluded that there's something in the piano riff that makes it so cracktastic.

If I could harness the power in that riff I could rule the world...

I have an embarrassing love of Flo Rida and T Pain's Low. It's shameful, I know.

Honey, my mama loves that song. There's no shame in her game though! She dances at the grocery store when she hears it, ya heard me?!

Madonna's "4 Minutes" is immensely cracktastic. I can get it stuck in my head for hours at a time.

Scarlettfish- 04-13-2008
OMG YES. I have been singing it for days.

No, it's not shameful because that song is AWESOME.

I'll show myself out now.

Poubelle- 04-13-2008
I'll take Flo Rida over Soulja Boy any day.

Ok, in Low, which I have listened to a shameful number of times, is the singer referring to the same girl when he discusses her Apple Bottom jeans and boots with the fur, as when he is talking about the baggy sweatpants and the Reeboks with the straps? Because my goodness, that sounds like an awful lot of clothing to be wearing in a warm environment like a club. Or is it two different girls? Or two different evenings?

I never took the time to think about that. I assumed he was talking about what she wore on two separate occasions, but he doesn't make that clear so I'm not entirely certain.
