So summer is obviously the season of stupidcrackmusic. Has anyone gotten ahold of Good Girl Gone Bad yet. I'm telling you people, the shit is tight. It's positively crackalicious. Instead of her usual one good song, there are like 9 or 10 on the album. It's really danceable too. My favs so far are Don't Stop the Music, Breakin' Dishes, Lemme Get That and Push Up On Me. A few more listens and I may actually love the whole thing. I'm so ashamed...

The Fratellis' Henrietta, Flathead, and Chelsea Dagger are absolute stupidcracktastic music. I can't stop listening to them repeatedly.
BrightEyes- 06-13-2007
Damn you, "Umbrella"!
It's been two months, and it's still stuck in my head.

I've got an oldie that I can't get out of my head. Radio station played Big Love by Fleetwood Mac on the way to work yesterday, hadn't heard it in YEARS. And now it's taken up residence in my brain.

I almost tried to fight Umbrella, but I knew I'd lose so I didn't bother.

I think I've played my "Costello Music" CD to death. But I. just. can't. stop. I love the album.
Speaking of umbrella, there's been a series of storms out here in my neck of the woods and all I keep singing to myself is "Don't forget my umbrella...."
Damn you, Rihanna!

I listen to it at least twice a damn day! I wish I knew how to quit them!

I wake up singing this song lately. That can't be good.
BrightEyes- 06-13-2007
Now that it's rainin' more than ever,
Know that we'll still have each other
You can stand under my umbrella
You can stand under my umbrella...
Aye
Aye
Aye
Under my umbrella...
On another note, the more I type or look at the word "umbrella", the more ridiculous it seems. Umbrella. Hee.

Hey, me too! I keep waiting for me to get tired of it, but I never do! It's ridiculous! Though I have to say that "For the Girl" and "Creepin' Up the Backstairs" are just as crackalicious as the three already mentioned. I love belting them in the car.
Poubelle- 06-13-2007
Creepin' up the backstairs
Mother's nightmare
Falling in the front door, my my
Climbing in the window
Get dressed let's go
Take your brother's car keys, bye bye
In other news, I still haven't decided if Rihanna's "Umbrella" or her "Shut Up and Drive" is going to be my song of the summer. I tired to figure this out by listening to each a hald-dozen times this evening, but no luck. I think the only way to solve this is to listen to them again.
(Also, you know what's fun? Juxtaposing the Beatles' "Drive My Car" with "Shut Up and Drive." Both songs are about a girl asking a guy to drive her car, but they're asking for very different things.)

I had Creepin' Up the Backstairs stuck in my head the whole time I was taking a final! Okay, so it only took ten minutes since it was super-easy, but still! The Fratellis will not be denied!
Anyone like the Umbrella remix with Chris Brown? I find it so amusing when he sings, "You can be my Cinderella ella ella, aye aye aye..."
mozzarella- 06-14-2007
Get Me Bodied by Beyonce. I saw the video today. Oh, Beyonce, why must you make so much crackmusic? I don't really even like your voice that much!
Soleil- 06-14-2007
I actually read about the "ella ella ella" lyrics before I actually heard the song, so everytime I think about that part of "Umbrella," I imagine Rihanna singing the part of that Asslee Simpson song where she goes "L-O, L-O, L-O, L-O-V-E." It sounds a lot better with Rihanna.
queenofdenile- 06-14-2007
I have some fondness for L-O, L-O, L-O, L-O-V-E, despite my distate of anything having to do with any Simpson that's not a cartoon character, because a friend of mine was in the music video and it's fun to try to spot him.
Robin Sparkles' "Let's Go to the Mall" is now the #1 most-played song on my iPod. I refuse to feel ashamed about this, as it is great for working out.
