| Ugh, I've never once made it through all of The Safety Dance. I think that might be the worst thing to emerge from the '80s. |
!!!!!!!
But it's a Surrealist work of genius!

Do you enjoy breaking my heart, whatthedeuce?

Oh, was that the smashing sound I heard? I'm officially a heartbreaker! Yay-yeah!
Who cares if it's a good song musically or not? The lyrics are the grea-*test*-('") lyrics ever written. Because we CAN dance if we WANT TO, and your damn non-dancing friends are no friends of mine.
You know what's more? You can act real rude and totally removed, and me? I'll act like an imbecile.
Now lets all look at our hands.
No seriously, the most awesome song ever. And the video? Genius.
The best part of the video for me is when he's leading them in a parade over the bridge. I totally want them to bump into the parade from "Girls Just Want To Have Fun" coming the other way, and get into a turf war.
Cyndi would mess him up.
Ha! Maybe there can be an '80s reunion vid, and they'll do just that!

Oh, you're supposed to look at your HANDS? I always heard PANTS.
Guys, I just saw the video for "The Sweet Escape" by Gwen Stefani, and I think I found my new crack.

Now lets see what Fergie will do for her next single because between London Bridge (hollaback) and fergilicious ( wind it up/gwen on acid) I see a pattern here.

I hated that song until I saw the video. Usually, a bad video kills a good song for me.
A month ago, High School Musical was on tv, and every now and then I find myself singing "Start of Something New". I'm seriously considering just buying the damn album in an attemppt to play it to death and get the thing out of my head.
I'm probably 3 times the age of the target audience - why won't it leave me alone??
Fine Gwen Stefani! You win! You have broken me! This morning I found myself singing Wind It Up and I love The Sweet Esacpe.

Buying the CD won't work because that CD is pure crack. If you're watching a team sport of some kind--or actually anything where someone is distracted, you'll say, "S/he needs to get his/her head in the game." And then the song will be stuck in your head.
And people always mention that "we're all in this together" and, well, you can see how it works.
I have a favorite song from the soundtrack depending on what mood I'm in. It's great fun to sing along to. So buying it does help you with the whole getting it out of your system and actually learning all of the words.
You know what's even worse? When you get the "We're All In This Together" dance stuck in your head, and you just don't feel right until you get up and do it.
My High School Musical crack is "Breaking Free". I found myself singing it in a bar. Loudly and drunkenly.
