As long as Fron's is working for ABCD, I can't imagine any show is 100% safe, and in fact he's got his hand right in the middle of OLTL's shittiest storyline right now: Starr/Cole and and their very boring and tedious and ewtastic baby. Though it was launched during the strike, and Carlivati is doing as much damage control to it as possible.

I'd recommend picking the show up for David and Dorian alone. But then I'm not one to suffer through the creative bad times of a soap opera, so if it does go south I can always just, turn it off.

Actually I was no fan of Billy Warlock's AJ either, but next to Sason? Oh he was a worldbeater of likability. Same thing when Sonny shot Carly, I hate that bitch more than any soap character ever, but I couldn't properly enjoy her getting shot in the head because pregnant women being shot in the head is just gross and not my idea of a dramatic good time.

As an avid and often times, masochistic viewer of OLTL for years now, I can say that the Starr/Cole SL, thrown in with the Mcbains, (I LOATHE Marcie) is the only dead-end SL on the show right now.

I greatly fear the set-up they might be going with for Starr's unborn baby, if you watched the end of Friday ep. you'll know what I'm talking about.

But with the upcoming SLs (Andrea Evans as Tina-last time I saw her on the show I was like 10) and Carlo Hesser, (only drawback for me is Marty coming back AGAIN) it should be a good summer.

Back when I was little, my grandma used to watch all 3 ABC soaps and over the years OL was the only one I stuck with. Even though it's gone through years of being God-Awful, circa 2001-2003 comes to mind, I catch glimpses of AMC and GH and go WTF is this?? GH in particular..they should just change the name of the show to Sonny's Realm or something. OLTL has had their share of one-note characters taking over the show (Sam Rappaport and his entire freakin' family and most recently John McBain) but it usually only lasts a few years then it's on to something else. My condolenses for those GH viewers that have had to watch their soap get turned into a lame version of the Sopranos.

If it's any consolation I think most of the returns (Tina, Marty, Cain) are short term story drivers, Carlo is the only one I can see having legs, and I hope he's still dying hard for Renee.

Aw, see I actually thought 2001-2003/Gary Tomlin, aka One Jen to Live was watchable, because at least I felt like Gary loved the characters and he did introduce the Balsom's my favorite newbie family since the Vegas/Manning's. And that period paled in comparison to the dregs of JFP and Higley era OLTL. I will bear the scars of TnT and Todd Manning as weepy Jim forever.

Billy was good as Frankie on DOOL. On GH, he was a straight up troll! ;p

Nah, see them be fighting words. I LOVED him. I thought her brought so much to a dead end role. Hes kinda in the same position Ric Hearst is now.

Ok and see now *that's* fighting words, lol. I don't think BW is anywhere near RH's talent at taking a shit role and making me care about the character. I am a huge Carly fan, have been for years and yet I still enjoy Ric despite the whole Panic Room storyline.

And I mostly say that because I got to hold RH's Emmy last year.

See I think we'll just have to agree to disagree, as I havent liked Carly since Sarah Brown played her. Although I do think Laura Wright is doing a bang up job.

And I do think Billy Warlock is that talented. Hell, he was the only time I liked Courtney.

Oh my God. WHYYY did they recast Colby? It took me a while but Ambyr Childers was totally growing on me and the new actress does not seem interesting, different, or talented enough to warrant the change. The official line is that it's because of the direction they're taking the character, but... really?

I hate the new Colby. The first one did annoy me in the beginning but she ended up growing on me also. This one? Is just bland, just as bland as NuBabe.

I think they are going to do a triangle with NuColby, Frankie, and that new girl he treated at the hospital that day. Frankly I'd rather they do a Frankie/Dre couple, take that Nuke!

Yeah. It seems like they only hired her because they wanted to age the character to hook her up with Frankie. Which made no sense because Ambyr Childers was the one with the chemistry with him (which they couldnt act on cause of age issues).

Plus I loved her relationship with Adam.

I have to say, I'll miss Lily. Not Ava, at all. But Lily. I liked her a lot in the beginning. And I loved her bond with Reggie (who I also miss a lot), and I liked her relationships with Sam (aw, hobbit Sam) and Aiden, even if it all went downhill after they hooked her up with Jonathan.

The weird thing is, though, that I don't think Ambyr Childers LOOKS that much younger than NuColby. Also, you're right, it's f'ed up logic to see chemistry between two ACTORS and decide that it means the CHARACTERS need to hook up irrespective of whether those original actors with chemistry are involved. Also, Leven Rambin was really young in real life when they had her lovin' it up with Jonathan -- and with JR, I think. Younger than Ambyr is -- Ambyr is turning 20 in July. So... AMC, you are JACKED.

Oh true that. Whatever, I'm still bitter that when they brought on Ava it ended up being such a waste and they didnt exploit her underage chemistry with Aiden. Instead of icky, icky Jonathan.

OL is on my shit list for killing off nash..and in such a retarded way. I seriously want jessica to declare war on natalie and jared. I only wish nash had called nat something more vicious then a "tart" or I can't remember what it was, but it was lame. Should have been more of "lying gutless slut"..something to merrit jared's OVER-KILL in throwing nash onto the skylight.

The sanctimonious justification for lying to loved ones on this show is a rampant problem on OL. And it's the same people who do shit like this (majorly keep people in the dark) that are the first ones to turn around and give shit to the "not-nice" people on the show for doing the same..LOOKING AT YOU NATALIE. Ugh, I'm so done with her.

And she needs to seriously start wearing some higher-cut tops. Family get-togethers or meeting friends for coffee is not a reason to have your twins practically hanging out on the table.
