Also I actually like and buy Annie's friendship with Zach it has history, and the two seem to genuinelly like each other.

Also? Get rid of Ava and bring the focus back to Lily. And set about making JR the badass Chandler he can be, and him and Amanda the future supercouple they have the potential to be.

big chicken- 03-04-2008
I totally want JR and Amanda to be the AMC version of Alan and Monica from GH. They'd love each other passionately and when one is having an affair, it'd be all about getting the other's attention or getting back at them. I forsee a few divorces and remarriages in their future.

At least that's how I'd write them if I were AMC's headwriter.

StephenTrendy- 03-04-2008
big chicken, I can totally get behind that. Because at least then it would give JR something to do.

I've loved Annie since she first came to Pine Valley (though the endless drama with her ex was a little much).

I totally want JR and Amanda to be the AMC version of Alan and Monica from GH.  They'd love each other passionately and when one is having an affair, it'd be all about getting the other's attention or getting back at them.  I forsee a few divorces and remarriages in their future.

Yes! This it not too much to ask! I know a lot of people wanted something Alan and Monica-ish for JR and Babe, but I could never get past Alexa Havins' voice/overall annoyingness and Babe's pesky baby-stealing habit to see the chemistry everyone else was seeing. What little we got of JR and Amanda was sexy and fun. So naturally, that must be tossed aside so JR can go crawling after this blah new Babe. How do these writers have jobs?! How? Why is Babe still on the show?

I've been so back-and-forth on Annie. I have always liked the actress, though. She's so natural. I had no use for Annie when she first came to town since her only role was to tell the world how great and awesome Ryan is, like we didn't already have enough characters to do that. She rubbed me the wrong way several times during the Satin Slayer story, she was an idiot for accepting Ryan's, "I'm not actually in love with you, but you're my babymamma and I feel like doing something crazy. Let's get married!" proposal, and there were several moments where I actually kind of hated her at the beginning of the Richie storyline. But interspersed with the bad moments were moments where I thought she was cute or sweet or spunky or whatever, and she kicked ass during the Babies in Peril story. She has awesome friend chemistry with Zach. If Zach has to strike up a BFF-ship and maybe ultimately have drunk My Spouse Done Me Wrong sex with someone, it should be with Annie. They're cute together, and that's a relationship that was actually believably developed on-screen. My real dream for Annie since last August, though, has been Annie/Josh. Josh needs a girlfriend who isn't Babe and who isn't mentally unbalanced, and I'd like for Annie to be included in the extended Kane family without having to be saddled with that loser Ryan.

JR/Amanda and Josh/Annie. That's all I'm asking for. Oh, I'm also asking for them to stop torturing Zach and Kendall for five minutes. Send them off on a European vacation for a month or three. That way, the people who don't like them can get a little break, and the people who do like them can take solace in the fact that they're happy and well off-screen on another continent not being ruined for the sake of Greenlee. Everyone would win!

I hardly ever watch OLTL, but I have it on in the background right now, and er . . . Starr did not grow up into such a bueno actress. Is she always this shrill?

Kiran- 03-05-2008
No. She actually has a nice likability to her in the quiter scenes, and a great cattiness (thats totally Cramer) when they let her use it. The high melodrama doesnt work for her though. They need to bring back her freak factor.

Gillian- 03-05-2008
I don't really watch OLTL, either. How old is Starr supposed to be nowadays? I saw the cover of Soap Opera Weekly (that's the one that looks like a tabloid, right?) at the grocery store yesterday, and it excitedly proclaimed "Starr and Boyfriend: Sex!" I started silently freaking out old church lady style, all "Whaaaat?!?! She's, like, 14! She's a baby! What are they teaching the children by setting examples like this?!"

I know she's got to be older than 14 by now, but that's how old she is in my head. I eventually took my chill pill and released the death grip on my pearls, but I'm still a little squicked out. It doesn't help that Kristen Alderson has the babiest of baby faces.

Kiran- 03-05-2008
She just had her 16th B-day. I feel bad for her because when they first almost had her have sex on the show, Erika Slezak was PISSED and said that the poor thing was really uncomfortable.

Heather- 03-05-2008
I think it's tough because Kristen Alderson essentially grew up on the show. They did a LEEETLE aging with Starr early on, but not a lot, so it's hard to adjust to someone who we've seen since she was a tot suddenly doing love scenes. I can't really get into it either. I like her more as a conniver and an outsider than as the popular chick with the hot B.F. Like, I figured she'd grow up into Langston, but... apparently they have Langston around to be Langston, so Starr got a little boring.

Kiran- 03-05-2008
I wish they'd switch those roles. Because while I like Langston I'm never going to care about her the way I do about Starr.

I have to say todays show was awesome. Todd (and I love him) is a crazy asshole, and he was in fine form today. TSJ brought it. And what I loved best was the undercurrent he added. There was a line where he said "How many were there?" and the way he was talking, and the line about the "star quarterback" (which Todd was), and he was CLEARLY flashing on his own past, and projecting and it was great.

And I thought KA was good. The shrieking was much, but I thought it was realistic. I like her a lot, I just wish they'd pair her with Markko or bring back Travis (remember Travis?) and let her freak flag fly. Shes at her best when shes weird. The beauty of Starr was that she could spit out girls like Brittany for breakfast, and she could own them, but she chose not to, because she was a weirdo, who liked snakes, and had her parents in her. I miss that. Shes at her best when they tap into that (her running commentary during Blair/Adrianna's catfight at Christmas comes to mind).

Yeah, she doesn't seem like the young ingenue type. She should have more scenes with Dorian, because everyone should have more of those.

Casting spoiler: >>Ricky Paull Goldin will be joining AMC as Jake Martin after leaving Guiding Light later this month<< according to TVGuide.

I don't know who this character is because I didn't watch AMC back then, but I'm sad about the GL news.

Kiran- 03-05-2008
Ooh. Thats good news. <<Jake is Tad's adopted brother. Also aside from Leo, he was the last relationship that Greenlee was in that she was likable in. And RPG is awesome. More awesome than J. Eddie Peck, who last played Jake. Although he WAS wicked hot.>>.

I actually think KA is best with Erika Slezak. Theres a sweetness to their scenes and a lot of great history <Viki is probably Starr's constant in life>.

Lily Rose- 03-14-2008
Snoop Dogg to appear on One Life To Live. He's also remixing the theme song. I cannot even describe to you how amusing I find this.

caerbannog- 03-21-2008
That's awesome. Heh.

I don't get to watch GH everyday, but I'm very annoyed to see that Imaginary Figment Emily is still around. Just die already! Shuffle off the mortal coil!
