I think you would.

Aw, I love "Movin Out". I liked "Contact" better though.

I have a feeling I'd like it more if I actually saw it instead of just listening to the soundtrack.

Well, you don't get to see the sex on the soundtrack. That DEFINITELY helps.

ulkis- 07-06-2008
Hee. But what if it's not someone who looks like Jonathan Groff?

evilmaidel- 07-07-2008
Sara Ramirez is truly awesome.

Speaking of Spring Awakening (which I could take or leave, but whatever) - I heard Hunter Parrish from Weeds is going to be Melchior starting in August. How random - I had no idea he sang!

I have tickets to see [title of show] tonight. Even though I am horrendously sick and feel like shit right now, I'm still SUPER excited.

Oh also - I ordered my Passing Strange OBCR from Sh-k-Boom last Friday and got it exactly one day later. Yet another reason why Sherie Rene Scott kicks major ass.

I saw pictures, Hunter Parrish looks good shirtless.

eta: All the MadLibs are awesome!

I am deeply jealous. I want to see [title of show] as soon as possible, but I'll probably need to wait a bit before I can afford a ticket. But this weekend? Damn Yankees at Encores!

There's one with Lin-Manuel Miranda that's adorable - I think it's up on their official site. Sadly the world will never get to see Ashley Brown singing the dirty version of "Spoon Full of Sugar" because Disney is CREEPY CONTROLLING. Just know that it was amazing.

spidey - I got my [tos] tickets through TDF - my friend is a member and snagged us great center mezz seats for $37 each. They also have a cheapo lotto, if you're into that.

Strangely enough I wasn't really overwhelmed with the show. The idea itself is clever and there were parts that were hilarious... but I don't know. Some of the jokes I could see coming from a mile away. I just expected better from a show that's been built up so much like this one has. It almost felt like a play with bits of music in it.

Though the audience was amazingly enthusiastic, it was also filled with theatre geeks and hardcore fans. I don't know if this is a show that anyone else will love, really.

Yeah, they're running a pretty decent code through Broadway Box for fairly cheap tickets as well, which is probably where I will order from. I've loved the Off-Broadway cast album for awhile now, so I am really kind of proud that they made it on Broadway. I know it probably won't last long, since it's a teeny show with a small following but I'm glad they made it this far.

And my, that choreographer is hot.

He just choreographed on So You Think You Can Dance! Awesome!

...y'all are really not helping my In The Heights obsession, by the way. I am powerless in the face of hilarious t-shirts and High School Musical parodies.

Kiran- 07-09-2008
Hee. I'm loving the soundtrack. I think Champagne is my favorite. And yes, very hot choreographer. This is how you know you have it bad for In the Heights? I got really offended that the TWoP recapper was dismissive towards him.

ulkis- 07-10-2008
What! Passing Strange is closing already?! Good thing Spike Lee is going to record it after all.

Kiran- 07-10-2008
Yeah, unfortunatley it was never that big of a commercial hit, which is sad.

I saw Damn Yankees today as part of the Encores! series. I never really got the Cheyenne Jackson love before, but damn if that boy isn't sex on a stick when he's in motion. So talented and adorable! He had great chemistry with both Meg and Lola. Jane Krakowski is a servicable Lola, but she didn't really become sexy until dancing with Cheyenne in "Two Lost Souls." Sean Hayes is a fun Applegate and he plays a mean piano. All in all, it was a pretty fun production. I'm glad I had a chance to see it.

You should see him roller skate! *Is still in love with Xanadu*

Being in the third row for him stripping down to his boxers for a scene helps...
