Random question, but has anyone else's browser been redirected to eBay? The first time it happened, I wasn't paying attention and I thought I had accidentally clicked on an ad, but it's happened a couple more time and I definitely didn't clicked on anything.
I know it sounds like spyware, but the network at work is pretty locked down.
It's happened to me a couple of times at another Forumer board I frequent. I thought I'd accidentally clicked one of those ads at the top.
I've gotten the same thing. Like you, I thought it was an ad I'd clicked on. Forumer's support forums don't have anything posted that I could see. I'll talk with the other mods and see if they've noticed it or not. It may be a bug in the
forumer code? I'm not sure.
Ack, it just happened to me. That's freaky.
This has not yet happened to me. I'm using my corporate firewalled (I presume) IE at work (on a PC) and firefox with no particular safeguards except adblock (on a mac) at home.
I got it once last week, but not since then.
Whew. Good to know it's not just me.
I'm still looking into this. I can't replicate the redirect now that I've said that I had it happen...but maybe constant clicking will get it to redirect again.

Ok, I think it's related to the Cordia-Burn banner ad that comes up. Only problem is, Forumer won't help ad-related problems without screenshots and well, the redirect happens very fast and the ad apparently is kind of rare in our current rotation. So, can someone help me out with a screenshot and upload it to Photobucket or something, then give me the link so I can get Forumer on top of it. I'm 90% sure it's the Cordia-Burn ad, so if I can get a screenshot, great. Or if anyone notices it's a different ad, a screenshot of that ad would be nice, too.
Thanks for any help anyone can give me to resolve this issue!
Here you go!
Cordia-Burn ad screenshot. It happened while I had this thread open in one tab and was modifying a post in "Go Fug Yourself" in another. Weird timing! Anyway, I hit submit and my browser got redirected to Ebay. When I went back and re-submitted, this was the ad I got, so I think you're probably right. There were a bunch of different URLs displaying in my status bar while the page was loading, too.

More useful than taking the form of water. Oh, no! That water vapor is going to wrinkle my outfit!
But I digress.
Thanks, jenelope. I actually think we're going with a different option which will bring back the Google Ads (no stupid noise, inappropriate content or redirecting). So, it might have been for naught. But if they don't switch us back to GoogleAds, we'll have backup to get the CordiaBurn ad removed from the rotation.
We've been switched back to GoogleAds, so we should be back on the non-questionable content, amusingly apropos ads we used to have.
