I was thinking of a "Encyclopedia Snarkfestia" thread, where we explain things that are particular to the internet (like YMMV) or to Snarkfest (HOOOOOR!) for people who are new or just missed that joke or whatever. Probably in the Meta Section. What do you think?

I think that's a good idea - it'll stop new people feeling left out because of old in-jokes, which seems to be a problem on a lot of message boards.

Can we do threads on individual networks in Television. You know, bitch about the assy stuff that networks do.

Hmmm....Go ahead and start it. If it turns into discussion of the shows as opposed to the network and the choices they've made, etc. then we might have to close it, but it could be an interesting discussion. (Particularly about Fox, who takes glee in cancelling good shows.)

Would a seperate thread for cool Recipes be good? The Neat and Cool Cooking Tricks thread is for tips and hints and the What's for Dinner thread is for drooling and gloating but a Recipes thread might be fun. I can offer my Absolutely Foolproof Anyone Can Do It in 6 Minutes Onion Soup Recipe in exchange for Useful Knowledge.

Since Jane Eyre is coming to Masterpiece Theater tonight (Sunday), I was thinking we could have a "Costume Dramas" type thread.

Ooh - costume dramas (especially from the 1970s) are my absolute crack. And I'm guessing there's quite a few fans of Upstairs Downstairs and I, Claudius out there.

A "Costume Dramas" thread would be great. I don't have the channels at home so I generally don't get to see many of them but I love reading about them. I never got to see I, Claudius but I've been assured it was magnificent. Is it available on dvd I wonder?

And I'm all for obsessing over Toby Stephens as Rochester. I even read the TWoP thread about Jane Eyre for him.

If the idea is to discuss the new Jane Eyre, shouldn't it be in the tv forums? Though another one in the movie section might be useful one day for Merchant Ivory and their chums.
