An Olympics thread is cool - I would put it under the Beyond Snarkfest section. I don't know that I'd start threads for individual athletes, but we'd have to see if talk about certain people are dominating the thread.
I wouldn't start one for individual athletes. But I remember fours years ago the TWOP thread was overwhelmed with ohhs and ahhs over the bodies of the swim teams.
I agree. Now if one of them became the next Tiger Woods that would be different.
Anyone (especially Canadian Snarkers) interested in a thread on Guy Maddin? Having just seen him narrate his la-*test*-('") 'docufantasia' about Winnpeg, I really need to discuss it with someone who might, you know, have actually been within 500 miles of Manitoba.
Can we have a thread for exchanging recipes and other yummy food items?
We're already got the
Neat and Cool Cooking Tricks and
What's For Dinner? threads where recipes can be exchanged.
Is it possible to start a relationship thread that is more based on long term relationships rather than dating or being single?
Also, regarding maxwell1313's idea about a recipe thread, I think that is so the recipes that are posted aren't lost throughout the thread.
I was thinking of starting a thread on Film Criticism in the movies forum devoted to Critics reviews we'd like to share.
I was thinking of starting a actor families or maybe actor brothers and sisters thread ?
Am I the only person watching Boneknickers, I mean Bonekickers? It gets more awesomely awful every week, and this awfulness really needs to be discussed. (Clearly, if no-one else watches it, then = no thread.)

I'm not sure about that one. Let me check with the other mods and see what they think.

You can start that, in the General Fame Talk forum. I'd keep it to actor families, because there are a lot of parent and child family relationships and others in addition to brothers and sisters.

You can start it in the television forum. If you really are the only one, the thread will just sink, which is okay. I'd guess there are at least a couple other people on the board who watch it.
I could've sworn we had a thread for Comic-Con, I remember people talking about going to the San Diego Comic-Con. Well, if I am not just search-incompetent and someone else can bump the thread up for me, could I start one? Would this be L&M, or since I'm talking about having gone to the con, in Community?
I'd put a thread for the San Diego Comic-Con in the Lit & Multimedia section, because even people who weren't there will want to discuss what was premiered and released. Everybody just needs to remember to use spoiler tags.
The Dude, the mods discussed the film criticism thread, and we decided against it. You can feel free to post film reviews you like in the relevant threads, as long as they do not involve politics as your last posted one did. A single thread for discussion of reviews would not work because of the spoilers and lack of coherent discussion involved.
Could we have a thread for e-books, e-book readers, and links to free (and legal) e-books?
