I'm really sad to see this happening to her. Why, I don't know, it just seems like she had such potential and has just become so incredibly fucked up. And that makes me sad. I want her to get off the drugs, fire Rachel Zoe, get away from her Mom, and clean herself up before she od's or goes crazy or both.

She's such a joke now. Oh well. It's her own damn fault.

We just saw Bobby this afternoon (good movie, btw) and she was good in a small role. Yeah, it's really a shame. I wouldn't consider her Oscar-level talent, but there's potential that'll probably never see the light of day, sadly.

I, on the other hand, don't even feel a smidge of sadness for her. It's liberating, really.

Plus, I thought it was Rachel McAdams who made Mean Girls great.

Sure, she's a bit la-la, but I'm not convinced that this email is proof that she's sick and sad and lost the plot completely.

I don't know what's wrong with me lately. I stick up for Tom Cruise, and Lindsay Lohan. Argh. I just can't help it.

I don't either. When I start to feel a tad guilty for not feeling sorry for her, I just think of all of the other young actresses out there (Scarlett, Natalie, Kirsten, Kiera) who don't piss away opportunities like Linds does.

To be honest, I hadn't thought of it like that. She isn't one of my favorites, I'm pretty meh about her. And tomorrow I'll probably enjoy the trainwreck like I do with most celebrities.

It's a good point, but I think all the other young women you listed didn't have so-called stage parents or highly dysfunctional homes. Initially, I had to check IMDB to confirm that Scarjo was even a child actress. I think Lohan isn't equipped with the same ability to manage showbiz as these counterparts whose parents didn't use them as meal/party tickets. Could she rise above that background? Sure. Instead she's choosing cocaine, etc...

I feel bad for her because unless she gets some rehab, she's going to become another "child actor horror story" that probably ends in an OD or something else horrific.

I still think of her as that cute little kid in The Parent Trap.

Wasnt Kirsten Dunst's mom a big stage mom, I remember hearing that. Then again she did one thing Lindsay needs to do. Moved out and fired her mom as her manager

I compare Lindsay to Macaulay Culkin. He had so much fame and opportunity at a young age, and also had a very creepy abusive stage dad dragging him down. What did Macaulay do? (Besides get married at 17, that wasn't so smart.) Broke away from the dad, dropped out of the spotlight, and restarted his career on his terms when he was ready. Sure he's no longer the celeb he once was, but he's much better off. If he'd stayed in showbiz at the rate he was going he'd probably be dead or like one of the Coreys right now.

God, Linds was so gorgeous in Mean Girls. I forgot how much I love that movie. Look at her! Look how pretty! And now, terrifying.

It is really odd that she seems so determined to not do her natural pale skin and red hair thing, because she looks so pretty with it. Dark hair, blonde hair, a tan, it all just takes away from her natural prettiness. Well, that and her strung out face.

In that first pic you linked to, she looks like Danny Bonaduce's wife. His wife is pretty if a little plastic.

Huh. I think her dark hair looks lovely! Nice and shiny and healthy.

And she's looking much healthier now than a year ago, when she went through her too-skinny phase.

Sure, she might be looking a little too tanned, but apart from that, I think she looks great.

Well she also looks stoned all the time, but if anyone can make being stoned out of your gourd look sexy, well then you gotta put your money on LiLo.
