Heh I always give my coworker shit for being from Long Island, home of the Lohans and Buttafuco! But yeah that picture just screams LI. And creepy.

The best way to make the point that the press twists the truth is to bitch about it to the press.

And I'm sure Jodie Foster's mother never tried to be her best fried or party with her or turn a blind eye to her drug habit.

Yes, Lindsay was compared to Jodie Foster, but that was before she started boozing it up with her mother. I believe the comparisons started around the time she did the re-make of Freaky Friday, and all the missteps she's taken since then...well, I'm not even going to get into that. I'm just going to say that Jodie was never a big partier, and took her career seriously, even at an early age. Can't say the same for Lindsay.

Not only did Jodie Foster take her career seriously, she took her life seriously, going back to high school, taking time off to attend - and graduate from - Yale, and on and on. Even at my most fangirly, I was never deluded enough to think Lindsay was going to take that path.

BECAUSE OF YOU, DINA. GOD.

Foster also handled at least one truly horrendous event in her life a hell of a lot better than LL has handled any of hers. And while I would never downplay the problems someone like Lohan seems to have, none of them can trump "my stalker just tried to kill the leader of the free world because he thought it would win my love." Try dealing with THAT heinous shit when you're nineteen, Dina.

Or "My first stalker tried to get on set as an extra in a movie I was working on when I was 18." Or "My third stalker planned to kill me live on stage when I was acting in a college play." Or "Dino DeLaurentiis unintentionally made me an anorexic 14 year old because of a joke he made about my figure." Or even "In a study of sex offenders, many of them admitted they were turned on and committed crimes after seeing a Coppertone ad made when I was three." No matter what the Lohan family has been through, I don't think any of them can claim to know about Jodie's problems.

Oh, and the first stalker was recognized and thrown off the set because her mother had read the notes, was worried, and was on set every day. She's probably pretty far from a perfect mother, but she was involved in every aspect of her daughter's life.

I wonder if Jodie Foster's mother partied with her, told people she was her daughter's assistant, and other things that fall way outside the realm of responsible parenting.

Lohan is an adult now, and responsible for her own life, but with parents like she has, I'm not sure the girl ever had a chance to end up someplace other than rehab.

She was no White Oprah, that's for sure.
