That statement is awfully sane. I'm hoping that means that Dina had nothing to do with it.

Lindsay so did not write that. It's got her tone of earnestness, but it's grammatically sound and I didn't spot a single spelling error. I'm thinking either a lawyer or a publicist wrote it. Evidence of her addiction may have helped her in this case, and I think they've got their eye on her sentence. However, I would really like to think the sentiment is honest and heartfelt.

And... it's one day. of jail time.

It just occurred to me that the blame she's referring to in the statement was her blaming of "the black kid." Heh.

And the "they weren't my pants!!" bullshit.

Does anyone really believe a word of that statement? It's too little, too late and only time will prove if she really does want to get her life on track. Step 1: Don't release statements to try to get public sympathy - just STFU and GET BETTER.

Marc Malkin of E! Online reports he just spoke to Dina Lohan.

I'm sorry but isn't she only going to be in there for one day? One bloody day? I'm not saying it won't be traumatic but she's not going to be in there with murderers and other dangerous types, as is my understanding. I think someone should inform Dina that the something bad has already happened which is why her 21 year old daughter is back in rehab and at this point has her extra-curricular activities overshadowing her acting career.

She probably won't even spend a whole day in jail. Nicole Richie was sentenced to four days and spent less than an hour in jail. I swear, I would like to send someone to follow Dina around saying over and over again, "Perspective."

Also don't invite a tabloid magazine to take "candid" photos of you at rehab.

Also, Dina? If Paris could get out of jail alive, Lindsay -- who I think at least USED TO BE smarter and tougher -- will be fine. I hate Dina.

Yikes! I'm not sure trashing their mother to a celebrity bloggist is the way to win his way back into his kids hearts. And is that Lindsay in that photo with him and Dina? Because she does not look like herself at all.

Do they even care that their daughter is suffering? Apparently not.

I've seen a bunch of commercials for the Georgia Rule DVD release and not one of them mentions Lindsay's name or has her featured in any of the clips. The only indication that she's even in the movie is at the end when they show the DVD case and she's pictured on the front...alongside Felicity Huffman and Jane Fonda.
