It's not really about how much money she has though. It's about how much cash she can easily get her hands on without tipping off her management that she's using again. I'm sure they're monitoring her accounts for every penny that's going out. And remember, this girl isn't real bright. I'm sure they used to just give her her living allowance and she left the rest up to her accountants. I doubt she knows much about what's going on with her money.

She actually went with the, "It's not mine, I'm holding it for a friend" excuse? Really? This girl has her head so far up her ass, it's not even funny anymore. First of all, when has that excuse ever worked, and second of all, what kind of asshole friend would ask someone fresh out of rehab to hold their coke for them? We all know you're on drugs, Lindsay. The mugshot is proof enough of that-it looks like you don't even know where you are.

Jail time would do her good-enough of that cushy rehab bullshit. This girl needs to be smacked upside the head.

I kind of love that she used this excuse, which is basically the same one used by every person ever arrested on Cops. "Man -- coke? How did that get in there? That ain't mine!"

And I'm still curious why Self-Destructive dorks like Lindsay are still making news. She's already started making crappy horror films. The talent that foreshadowed a new ingenue is gone, replaced by a supercrispy pill freak with a dry-rotted brain from all the coke.

On another board, someone wrote something (sarcastically) about how proud her parents must be. It made me giggle because clearly this person has the good sense to not know very much about what Lohan's parents are like.

They make news because we all keep reading, which sells copy, which translates into dollars. We're active enablers of the process, whether we want to be or not.

In Lohan's case, however, she wa more than just some pill-popping bimbo. She had real, genuine talent, and in the right role, it could really take your breath away. When Mean Girls came out, people basically said she was the next Jodie Foster, and that it was only a matter of time before serious creative triumphs came her way. The sad spectacle she's become represents a plummet from much greater heights than a Paris Hilton or a Tara Reid. Lohan really could have been the grea-*test*-('") actress of her generation, which emphasizes the tragedy of her current condition.

It gives hope in her case, too. Robert Downey was in a pretty bad place, and he turned it around. So did Drew Barrymore. They both did it, in part, because of their talent, talent which Lohan shares. If she can wise up, dry out, take a thick slice of humble pie, and find the right comeback vehicle, she could turn it around... unlike so many of these other cases, where the only thing they have is making a spectacle of themselves. But with every new incident, that "if" looks further and further away. Girl's got to get it together; no one else can help her. And right now, she doesn't seem the sligh-*test*-('") bit inclined to do so.

I think Lindsay has the ability to turn it around, whereas her peers-I'm mainly thinking of Paris Hilton and Britney Spears-don't. Why? No talent. Lindsay at least has acting chops, which is why everyone expects more from her. I wish she'd realize that.

Er okay..see this is where I get side-tracked from everyone..while I don't think she's a bad actress, to me she was never anything oustanding either..Mean Girls? It was a high school satire, kind of like a lighter Heathers, LL was okay in the role, but I mean, eh, what could you do with that? I thought Rachel McAdams was the real star there..then there is Freaky Friday, Herbie? Bobby and PHC I would hardly call her a great talent in those, both of those roles to me screamed, 'insert new up and coming actress here'..
I don't know, the only difference between her and someone like Paris is that she actually did have to do some degree of work for a while to bring in a paycheck. And by real work, well I'm using that term very loosely.

That is the biggest load of bullshit I have ever read.

I feel the same way. She was cute and not untalented but in what I've seen her in no different than all the other cute and not untalented starlets out there.

I just want to know now how she's going to explain how she got into someone else's pants. Is her home a pants free nudist colony where everyone must strip? Or is that just her? And did these evil coke-bearing pants magically just fit her? Inquiring minds must know!

I thought she was talented and could be quite engaging and likable but I never thought she was anywhere close to ever being the best actress of her generation. Just my opinion.

But it is sad to watch her be so cute and rootable in Freaky Friday...and then this.

That link says that Dina is in a custody battle for all four of her children...How can she be battling for custody of Lindsay when she's over 18?

I bet she meant "custody of the bank accounts."
