I just got back from Las Vegas and there are signs all in front of the club where she is planning to have her big party. I do wish she realized she's potentially making a life threatening mistake by not taking rehab seriously, and then doing god knows what to "celebrate".

Look, I understand the girl wants to have a good time. I had a very good time in Vegas, and I certainly was no angel while I was there. However, it's not something I do on a regular basis. I just find it hard to comprehend she hasn't seen those pictures of her practically passed out incredibly disturbing. It seems she hasn't quite gotten the wake up call that her behavior is nothing but distructive to herself.

Sadly, I think it may take her ODing or worse for her to see the light. What's even sadder is that she is so young and just incredibly messed up. It seems she has no one to pull her aside and tell her that.

There is a part of me that hopes she told her vampiric mother to stay the fuck away from her for the first ten days, and that she's only coming now for a supervised confrontation with Lindsay's therapist in attendance.

I believe I read somewhere that the party is a contractual obligation for her.

This is not necessarily a bad thing. She needs some distance and space from her enabling mother. I wish Lindsay would have a chat with Brooke Shields about how to fire you mom and take control of your life and career. Better yet, maybe someone can get Drew Barrymore to mentor Lindsay. She's been through rehab and cut her crazy mom out of her life and has built a succesful career in Hollywood.

I heard on the radio they actually might replace her in that movie she is doing...instead of waiting and shooting around her. I guess the producers were pissed about her not taking rehab seriously.

I've heard rumors that she HAS nearly OD'ed more than once in the past. I think she is just remarkably, remarkably self-destructive, and at the same time convinced of her own invincibility.

I hope they do replace her. That way, she'll see that her idiocy will not be rewarded.

Apparently a former bodyguard has sold her out to the British tabloids. I don't know how reliable it is but highlights linclude:

I shouldn't feel bad for her, but I do, a little. She is just so fucked up and you know her parents don't care.

I either want her to get herself together in rehab or just fade away. But I don't want her to die or anything.

You know as sleazy as I think it is to sell someone out to a tabloid, I have no trouble believing every word the guy says about Lindsay. It really is a terrible, terrible shame.

The only part of that I believe is the Nicole Richie cocaine binge. Everything else is questionable.

There's been rumors of her with girls for ages, and a couple photos of her playing with knives just surfaced last week. I believe it all.

I find it very sad and unfortunately believable

This isn't too awful interesting. Seeking 3 grand in damages isn't like they're declairing emotional trauma from the event or something.

Been quiet lately. Her birthday party, wisely, has been canceled.

Wisely indeed. Although I can't help but see the irony in her canceling the celebration of her 21st birthday, aka the birthday that would make it legal for her to drink booze.
