I had never heard the term "helicopter parent" before this week, and now I'm hearing it everywhere. I agree that she's not letting Linds take the consequences of her own actions, but I do think it's deeper with Dina, and she really, really enjoys the reflected fame. I think she'll keep pushing Lindsay as long as she can get people to talk to her like she's important.

| God she's vile. |
That pretty well sums it up.

Exactly. I'm not surprised at all that Lindsay's the way she is with a parent like that. I honestly think the only way Lindsay can get better is to cut Dina out of her life altogether.
I think Lindsay should do what Drew Barrymore and Liv Tyler did - step away from her mother.
It's taken Dina
10 days to go visit her daughter in rehab. Lindsay's freaking bodyguard was there a week ago. What's even more depressing is that she's the first family member to go see her.
NOT THAT I'M DEFENDING DINA LOHAN, but at a lot of facilities, the program dictates who can come visit and when.
I'm sure that isn't what happened here, because she is vile.
Apparently she's had friends and the bodyguards visiting the whole time. She even went to the gym. I sincerely doubt they banned her family from seeing her.
Well, if I ever have Lindsay Lohan in my rehab program, I know what rule I'll be setting straight off.
I'm so confused...I thought rehab was supposed to isolate people from the world as a way for them to A) get off the damn drugs, and B) explore the reasons they turn to drugs in the first place. Why are these frou-frou Hollywood places letting people go to the gym and shop? How is this supposed to help them?
I'm not trying to be difficult, I just really want to know what their methods are.
"Give us your money, and we'll give you good publicity"?

| No Dina. |
Oh, yeah ... that works, too!
Lindsay should've just followed Amy Winehouse's example. When they tried to make her go to rehab, she shoulda said "No, no, no."
