I think the "look at me" was more a "pay attention to what I'm saying" than comparing herself to Princess Diana, though. You know how some people say "Look at me. Look at my face. I am telling you..." when they're trying to be more emphatic. However, in print, it makes her look like the biggest egotist in the world.
