The Detroit Free Press has a picture and 911 calls with their article about the wheelchair/semi story. From the looks of things, he was crossing the road in his wheelchair, the semi driver didn't see him, and when the semi hit the wheelchair the handles got locked into the grill. He's really lucky that he wasn't injured. I like the guy's quote to police: "It was quite a ride."

Man, I bet the driver nearly had a heart attack when he stepped out and saw that. And the guy looks so calm!

It's almost too bad this was inadvertent -- if it were deliberate it would be the best Darwin Award candidate since JATO man.

The skull was a replica but the teeth were the real genuine old-time thing.They were crooked (at least I assume so - they looked OK for a Brit!) but they seemed in pretty good condition and didn't have the 8 fillings everyone my age has!
