I was wondering if it'd be possible to have separate threads for different sports in the Beyond Snarkfest forum. That section looks kind of lonely with only the catchall Sports in it.

On a similar note, I put the Interesting News Stories thread in the community section because that's where it had been in 2.0 but might it be better in Beyond SF since there's nothing personal about it (unless one of us gets involved in a humiliating incident involving cute animals)?

I think a better solution (and I'm serious) is to have a tennis thread, and then leave all the rest of the sports talk on the existing one.

I think football should have its own thread. Whether or not to separate college and the NFL I'd leave up to the mods.

Y'know, I'm surprised no one really asked this one back on the old board. Hmm. I'd say that starting threads for all of the sports wouldn't hurt anything. That way basketball fans don't have to wade through posts about hockey and football. Go ahead and start them, y'all.
