I'm seeing things?

Since everybody else is having one, I just had to dig up a pic of one of my cats and turn it into an avatar for today.

And thank whatever higher power you want to hold responsible that April 01 this year is a Sunday. I don't think I could have gotten away with reading SF at work with this color scheme, it is just too glaring.

Thank God. I thought that the mods had had some collective schmoopy brainstorm, and sentanced us to throbbing hearts and purple background. Urgh.

Me too! My thought process went something like: "What! What is this, some kind of April Fool? ....oh! HAH!"

It was best at 5.00am (midnight in mod time?) when the mods were experimenting with different skins so it changed every time I refreshed. That really was scary. I assumed someone had put LSD in my cocoa...

For some reason, the fact that people have AVATARS is the most surreal thing to me.

I admit that it's fun to have an avatar for a day, but that's definitely enough. I must say that I'm especially fond of psammead's avatar. Captain Jack! No, the other one! Yum... (And yes, I know. And no, I don't care.)

This is great! Though I feel the urge to post with those cute little emoticons after every sentence. Must... resist...

I'd personally vote no for keeping avatars since it's a lot harder for me to get away with reading at work if we have them.

And I also just discovered that you can see the member no. under the avatar! I'm member no. 27! Somehow, that rocks. Don't ask me how or why, for my brain is on vacation today. It's the power of the purple, I tells ya.
