I'm enjoying House's continued interactions with Foreman, but I need this game to end. Pick some doctors, already.

I would love it if one of them was Cutthroat Bitch. She's growing on me, and I think her interactions with the rest of the cast would amuse me for some time. I'm sure 13 will be the female picked, since she's all **mysterious** and everything.

laddical- 11-15-2007
See, I don't think of 13 as mysterious, but that's only because I don't care to know more at this point. Backstory is something that should come out gradually - I feel the original Irregulars (sorry, it's not a common term, but I prefer it to Ducklings or Cottages) had their backstories revealed at a nice, pleasant pace over their three seasons. I figure 13, if she sticks around, will get the same. The only person who seems to think 13 is mysterious is Cutthroat Bitch and that's only because 13 wouldn't play along with her mindgames.

Cutthroat Bitch, on the other hand, I feel I already know more than I want to about. I certainly don't care that her name is Amber (though that's because of a bad relationship on my part, not a fact I'm really trying to nitpick). Beyond that, she's smart, capable, and thoroughly self-serving and unlikable. She lacks the charm (or maybe it's wit) that makes House's anti-social tendencies so forgivable from an audience perspective.

The only potential Irregular I'm interested in is Kutner, and that only because he is only now becoming an active candidate - until Old Fraud got the boot, he didn't seem to be doing anything (the only one who was doing less was Dr. DW/OB, and honestly I'm disappointed that he lasted longer than Old Fraud). Kutner is almost completely a blank slate - I don't think he's even had a nickname that has stuck. I'll admit the only thing he's done that is truly show-worthy was turning his number upside down and refusing to admit that he had been fired, but that's actually his selling point in my book - we know he's got moxie, and he's in the program so we know he's got some skillz, but other than that, we know almost nothing about him, so I want him to stick around so we can get on with it.

But yeah... all in all, it's time for the cast to solidify. Really, with Foreman back, I'd be happy if the only ones we kept were 13 and Kutner.

ETA: Crap, I forgot about Cole. I'd like him to stick, too, because he punched House, and that's always a good thing.

I still really don't like Cutthroat Bitch. She reminds me of what I disliked the most about Cameron, only tenfold: she's constantly concentrating on things other than the case. Cameron always used to be nosy about House, asking him questions about what was going on with him during the differential diagnosis, and Cutthroat Bitch was doing that at the beginning of the episode when she kept asking about Michael Michele's character and if her addition meant one less spot on House's team. I just find her incredibly annoying.

jcpdiesel21- 11-20-2007
Aw, I liked Cole! I thought it was clever and sneaky of him to work out a deal with Cuddy in exchange for her thong.

Surely Cutthroat Bitch will be next to go, right? Right?!!

Francie Nolan- 11-20-2007
Wait, so it was actually lupus?! I guess it had to happen sometime. Though you know what else it never is? Amyloidosis. (Unless that's what Joel Grey had? I can't remember).

I called that whoever got immunity was going to end up getting fired. I am proud of myself, as I never figure those things out. Cole was starting to grow on me, too.

You know, I think the rate of PPTH employees drugging each other is directly proportional to the rate of ridiculously rare diseases in the Princeton area.

MaddyCat- 11-21-2007
Nooooo! Not Big Love! He was my fave newbie. I'd take Cole over any of the other four any day of the week. Booooo!

sallamandersam- 11-21-2007
I think Cole broke the cardinal rule, which is to do what you can to thwart Cuddy.

I'm surprised, Cut-throat bitch didn't bother me as much as usual last night. It was nice to see Steve Valentine, and with a haircut.

Well, in their defense I think a lot of times they imply the case has been transfered to them after it went through a lot of other people. Sometimes they end up on their doorstep through the ER, but they do say that sometimes they're brought there after others have failed.

I'll miss Cole too, but all in all I don't mind too much. I feel kind of bad, because out of the interns left I'd rather have the two guys than either of the girls. Cutthroat Bitch would get tiresome quickly - though it could be interesting to see how that drive to get the job transforms after she actually has the job - and I'm already sick of super mysterious Olivia Wilde, who just feels like Cameron v2.0.

I love when the show does meta references, which I think they do more successfully than other shows do. The "It's finally Lupus!" finale, and Wilson's "You're about to run out of here, aren't you," response when House got his epiphany look were great.

jcpdiesel21- 11-27-2007
Hooray, we are finally rid of Amber/Cutthroat Bitch! I feel like we can finally get down to business on this show. Finding new members for the team has been a lot of fun, and breathed some new life into this show, but it was starting to get a little old.

Jeremy Renner was a great guest star. Why is he not in more TV and movies? He is a pretty good actor, and easy on the eyes.

Ramona Q- 11-27-2007
Yay! We get to keep Kutchner and 13!

For my part, every time he was on I had to think to myself, "Not Daniel Craig, not Daniel Craig, not Daniel Craig..."

I loved this episode. I loved House playing Cuddy. Because my first thought when 13 was fired was, "No way can they have a show with an all-male team. Cuddy has never been a very big part, and Cameron is even smaller than that now!" So... yay! Also: hot. Also - does this mean we finally get a name?

BrightEyes- 11-28-2007
Damn, I wish we were keeping Cutthroat Bitch instead of 13.

teebax- 11-28-2007
I'm just glad the whole con-*test*-('") thing is over. As House pointed out, the game will never end - but at least that story line is over... I hope.

Did I hear at the end of the show no new eps until next year? ARGH!!!!

punkysdilemma- 11-28-2007
I thought no way would he fire 13 when we don't know if 13 has Huntington's or not. Ongoing angst + hot chick = YOU'RE HIRED!

I hadn't noticed how much Jeremy Renner looks like Daniel Craig until you mentioned it. He also resembles what Devon Sawa would look like if he hadn't gotten all bloaty and gross.

teebax, I also heard at the end of the preview that the next new episode wouldn't be until next year, which seems like a very long time. However, I heard that House will be following the Super Bowl next year, so that should make for a pretty good, exciting episode.
