The hoyay between Nathan and Peter is off the charts, people.

Absolutely. It's insane. It makes me happy.

Isaac's death was more disturbing than I thought it would be with the whole paintbrush stabbing-ness. I don't know if it was an intended Jesus crucifixion parallel or I've just been doing too much Art History reading, but even if it was I thought it was well done, whereas usually those things just get me pissed off.

I swear I don't see it at all. Because of the hug, and that Nathan was upset? They're brothers!

Well, the line "I don't know who I am without you" sounded like it was from someone's mediocre fanfic, so there's that...I'll admit, I like snickering at it, but I don't think they're going for anything like that (obviously), so either way.

Sylar's paintings of the future are not nearly as awesome as Isaac's. They look all choppy and weirdly colored.

Remember Peter's stick figures. So I figure that the actual artistic ability isn't transfered with the power.

I liked the choppy and wierdness. It reminds me of Louis Wain and how the crazier he got the wierder is paintings of cats became. So in Sylars case, crazy colors= crazy mind. Similarly, Peter and his naivete/optimism is expressed through his simplistic, child-like drawing abilities.

Peter could have flown to New York with the portrait. He could have use the portrait like a surfboard.

I'm starting to fear for Ando again. Everyone else is revealing their powers or hinting that they've got powers and Ando is still sweet, loyal, and completely human.

Mohinder should have beaten Sylar in the head a few times when Sylar was knocked out.

Kalliopeia- 04-24-2007
Ok, this has been bugging me and maybe I missed an explanation somewhere but...WHY did Mohinder not kill Sylar after he knocked him unconcious? WHY? Then he's whining to Eric Roberts at the end about how the guy who killed his father is still out there? Yes, Mohinder, because you've had two chances to kill him and was too stupid to do it either time.

It's like that internet girl who vanished into thin air without so much as a mention. Apparently her absence is explained in the online comic thing but it wasn't on the show and it just makes them look sloppy. Because most people who watch the show probably don't even know that thing exists.

Other than that, terrific episode.

Oh, and I'm not sure I believe that Peter is exploding man. The only real evidence we have of that is Peter's dream, which was not exactly a precognitive dream. Unless there was some other evidence I missed.

Mo didn't kill Sylar because of all the LOVE.

...er, sorry. *slinks back to happy corner of slash*

I really hate that online comic that they have for this show. It's a nice idea, but it bothers me that they tie up some of these dangling plotlines in the comics and expect the viewers to seek them out to answer their questions. I'm a busy enough person, and I don't have the time to watch this show every week AND read a comic. If they want to do the comic, they should have them about events and things that are not vital to the plot, but extra bonus information about the characters.

The later paintings are scary. What a disturbing progression.

Did anyone else get a Rudi Guiliani post 9/11 vibe when Linderman was telling Nathan that even though hes down on the polls, that'll he'll lead the country through a horrible tradgedy?

The online comic is HUGELY about Hana, who only acutally appeared in one episode. I guess it's OK, in a way, to have the comic focus on someone who isn't really on the show, so it can highlight peripheral things without really interfering with the story on screen.

An explanation was not given in the show itself, but I would say that he was either too afraid to approach him given how well his murder attempt went the first time, or he was too focused on Peter's death and a sudden irrational need to take him to his family. Regardless, yes, sloppy.

I'll buy that Peter can't use two powers at once, but I do so reluctantly. I don't think Sylar has that problem.

Another small moment of love: "You're like me, aren't you? I'd like to see how that works." Soooo slimy.

I got the 9/11 vibe but the thing that caught my attention was that this will be a good, positive thing. In the face of a huge tragedy, people become predjudiced and violent so I don't see how this is supposed to turn out. Maybe that's why>> we see glimpes of dictator!nathan.<<

Agreed.

And I have to say I'm loving Adrian Padar's performance. He makes Nathan compelling and conflicted. Theres like a battle over his soul (I could tell he truly wanted Claire to come back and join the family in a week, and he loves his wife and kids, and genuinely wants to do good, but at the same time is power hungry and kind of a douche). I'm incredibly invested in him NOT turning to the dark side. Its sad.

And I concur - although I have always had a thing for Nathan, he looked particularly yummy tonight. Perhaps absence makes the heart grow fonder after all?

I'd be wavering on the hotness of Nathan but I can no longer resist - absence has definitely made my heart grow fonder. I was all about Mohinder, but the dumb is spoiling the pretty.

Peter's chemistry with his brother and niece is so, so wrong, but if I'm being honest is also so, so right.

I'm a sick woman.
