There is still some going back in time to look forward to, I'm sure. Hiro and Ando still never got to Homecoming (like they had in Isaac's original paintings).

I personally am wondering what kind of IRB (institutional review board - for research ethics) the Human Genome project had to go through that they can apparently just hand out names to random geneticists. And what radioisotope they are using that isn't giving these people massive amounts of cancer. [/science nerd]

Heh, I was thinking the same thing! [/also science nerd]

But didn't Peter see Simone still alive in his dream?

I don't remember her being there, but even if she was, I don't think it matters. I don't think that Peter's dream was a prediction of the future, I think it was just a vision of the future. Peter's subconcious interpretation of Isaac's paintings, and his own inability to handle all of the powers he has absorbed. I don't think that Peter will actually explode while surrounded by empty cars and Heroes (with Matt in a cops uniform and Claire in a cheerleader uniform). I still think that the exploding man is Ted Sprague, although that might change after next week.

But Hiro and Ando made it to the high school the next morning, and they stood under the sign as depicted in the painting. I don't think that we're going back there. The cheerleader is already saved, now they need to save the world.

And yes, Mohinder doesn't seem to be very bright. I wonder how long it will take him to catch on. I liked Dale ("That...was my best wrench"), even though I knew she was a goner from the minute Sylar and Mohinder walked into that shop.

Hopefully, one of the specials they find will figure out that Sylar is the evil one and take care of him. Dale was sort of onto him when she heard his heart beat faster. I hope Sylar hears all the voices like Prue did and goes crazy. What happens if Sylar meets up with Peter, which is bound to happen.

Can Peter absorb all of Sylar's gifts and Power Up? Can he take in all those powers? Can you have superpower overload and then none of them can be controlled?

Will Matt ever get rid of Janice, or will he hire Jessica to help him out (after the baby is born of course).

She was alive, but we see her only being pulled away from Peter by Isaac. Nice subtle foreshadowing there, and a reminder that the component parts of the dream don't all have to happen together to still retain some truth.

My memory is crap right now, so I don't remember this part at all for some reason. My bad.

I saw Stan Lee's name in the credits and for a moment, I thought he might be playing Linderman. Then I remembered that Stan Lee soooo cannot act, and I knew that Kring wouldn't foist that on us. He was perfect as the busdriver, though. I bet he's a fan of the show.

Anyway, I'm glad that they found a way for Hiro to be the lonely traveler without killing off Ando. That was a pretty anvilicious speech on Bill Fagerbakke's part, though. I thought the references to partners leaving blood on your hands meant Ando might actually die, not just get shot. It was neat to see Hiro roll back time, not just pause it. Now I want to see him teleport somewhere again.

Hana, Ted and Matt are going to make an interesting little team. Maybe we'll finally find out the meaning of the symbol versus the hash marks. Claude said they put the hash marks on "the lucky ones," which seems to imply that the unlucky ones got something else. I wonder if that means that Bennet's group has already gotten to Niki. And I bet Claire is going to tell them about the Haitian, which would answer a few questions for Matt.

I loved Peter being all badass. I think they're putting him more on the dark and twisty Batman path, instead of on the earnest and emo Superman path. I was actually sad that Simone was killed, because she'd kind of come into her own lately.

Like everyone else, I hope that this isn't the last we see of Claude.

I read an interview that said that CE had signed up for four episodes, but that the creator wanted him to come back for more. So hopefully that will happen, maybe next season?

So, there is something that is annoying me. Peter absorbed Sylar's telekinetic powers, but that isn't the only power that Sylar possesses. He has super memory from Charlie, and the powers that he got from the couple that got killed early in the season. Why doesn't Peter have those powers as well? Also, can Peter now get powers by absorbing brains too?

Was Hiro really rolling back time, though? I thought that at first, but for the gun to backfire the bullet would have to have been "re-inserted" into the barrel. If all Hiro did was make time move in reverse, wouldn't the gun have simply not fired at all? What happened seemed more like telekinesis, although I know that's not a power Hiro has demonstrated. (And I'm not suggesting he's now telekinetic; I just wonder if Kring really thought this particular effect through.)

My head hurts.

Maybe Peter only absorbs powers that are demonstrated in his presence. Sylar definitely used telekinesis around him - so Peter has it. Did he use any of his other powers when he tried to kill Claire?

But did Claire regenerate around him? I don't remember, and what about Hiro's abilities? He met them as well, didn't he?

RiverThames- 02-20-2007
Peter did meet future Hiro, so in theory he should be able to access Hiro's powers. When he stopped the taser-blast, I wasn't sure if he was using Hiro's powers or Sylar's.

It was strange, but it seemed like what Hiro did was reverse time in a very localized way-- just the bullet. Everything else: Ando, Hope, the police, etc. seemed to be continuing to move forward.

I had forgotten that Peter & Sylar had met, but they hadn't really interacted except for Sylar trying to kill Peter. Did Sylar know Peter is a hero? Does he know that Peter has powers? Obviously, Peter doesn't know that he took some of Sylar's powers, although wasn't telekinesis Eden's power?

Ji Xiang- 02-20-2007
No, Eden's power was "the Voice" (persuasion).

It's kind of interesting how both Peter and Sylar take people's powers without their permission - of course, Sylar does it in a more destructive way.

This is why I think Peter is the central spoke in the Wheel of Heroes, and he will be the only one able to defeat Sylar. It's great that Hiro can stop time and Claire zip her chest back up and Matt can read thoughts, but in order to defeat Sylar, you need someone who can do all of those things.
