ST, it's possible, but a EZ mod was poking around there last night in response to grayeagle, so I'd think that some action on their end is the more likely initial guess. I don't think anyone's heard from She Who Must Not Be Named recently. Chat was working right up until last night.

AH HAH. I may have figured it out. Apparently
ezBoard chat is not free (at least anymore). I doubt we've paid anything in recent months, so the service request must have made them notice that we were getting something for nothing and they simply shut the room down.
Yeah, I set up a Snarkphoenix ezboard, but I haven't set that up yet. It's about $30 for six months. We could possibly use
the community chest thing to pay for it, if people would be willing to contribute.
For now, perhaps we could chat in AIM or something? I know it's not the best option, but it's only temporary, after all.

For what it's worth, when us old timer TWoPers wanted to chat (Bitch Chat!), we just all used an AIM chat room. You have to invite people, but it's not hard to just shoot an invite to people when they sign online, especially since most of the chatters are regulars. In fact, that's what we did the last time chat went down.
People can list their AIM names somewhere on the board, to make it easier to do the invites.

I'm sure there is, but the AIM chat room is just temporary. Like, majorly temporary, hopefully. We're looking into a solution.
