I'm scared that they're taking extra time to think up something extra special. Enjoy these sweet days before you are named, little Coors Cutter.

I'm holding out hope for Bud Wyser.

Levi Alves McConaughey.

I really like it. Very solid and "normal," but still a little unusual. It was intended to be a Biblical reference, but I think the blue jeans reference fits as well.

Jasmine- 07-08-2008
It's cute! Wow, I was not expecting that.

jenelope- 07-08-2008
I love that. I had an uncle named Levi and I've always loved that name.

Swarley- 07-08-2008
That's kind of a let down. I was expecting something to compete with Miller Lyte. Couldn't he at least work Bud in there somehow?

Jesus H. Garcia- 07-08-2008
Oh, yay! Not crazy, works in both parents and sounds plenty Texas.

TiffanyNichelle- 07-08-2008
I actually really like Levi. It totally works.

Sunday Urban's name explained.

Apparently she was named after an "artist's muse" - a bit boring, I think.

NovemberRain- 07-08-2008
Wow! Color me surprised that Matthew went with something normal for a name. And Levi is a really good name. Yay for him!

Roma79- 07-09-2008
I like Levi more than Sunday. Good job, Matthew.

swsa- 07-09-2008
Yeah, Levi is both a nice name, and one that totally sounds right for Matthew's kid. I also love his explanation of the name.
QUOTE
“Levi was another name for the apostle Matthew in The Bible. They were, in fact, two names for the same person… Our son was born at 6:22 pm, and this particular time represents my favorite verse in the book of Matthew in The Bible: ‘If thy eye be single, thy whole body will be full of light.’”

“We welcome Levi Alves McConaughey into this wonderful life and look forward to living in it with him. In the mean time and all times, just keep livin’.”

AND Levi is also a kind of jean! No really that's an incredibly sweet and thoughtful reason to name him Levi, and so much better than Matthew Jr or Matthew II.

jenelope- 07-09-2008
I do have to admit that, while my first thought was, "Aw, like Uncle Levi! The only way I'd love it more is if his middle name was Lafayette!" my second thought was, "And he shall be Levi, and he shall be a good man, and he shall be Levi, in tradition with the family plan..." I would be really surprised if McConaughey doesn't have the same thought at some point.

I thought it was Levon?

I also liked how he said that Alves is the middle name because they really wanted to incorporate Camilla's name. Thats nice. I think he'll be a great dad.
