I think I'm alone in that I'd like River Russell just fine if it wasn't so close to Ryder Russell Robinson's name.
I thought that, too. I also keep pronouncing it "River DREARY," rather "Deary." It's kind of a tongue twister.

| Shea Joelle sounds like a whore to me, or at least a very vapid stripper. |
And just what is so whory or vapid about 'Shea'? *raises eyebrow*
I just think the celebrities today are being unimaginative. Remember back in the day when they were naming kids "Apple" and "Kal-el"? Good times.
The Mets love is strong in this one.
I don't like the Sam thing either. I think one of Charlie Sheen and Denise Richard's daughters is named Sam too - no Samantha, just Sam. Because Charlie had wanted a boy and picked that name and then she was a girl so they gave her that name anyway or some such nonsense.
I, for one, love the name River Russell.

Me too! Nothing but love here.
I think River is a cool name and don't mind that it's alliterated with Keri's last name.
I also like Henry Daniel. It's simple but cute.
I don't think anything is wrong with River Russel. It's River Deary that just hits me wrong. I keep mentally saying it as River Dreary. Russel River Deary would be a lot less mispronouncable.
Jeff Gordon and his wife had a baby girl named Ella Sophia Gordon. I like it-pretty and traditional.
I don't know who he is, but that's a gorgeous name.
He's a very short NASCAR (racecar) driver.
Sarah McLachlan has given birth to a daughter. Her name is Taa-Jah, which is apparently Hindi for "crown."
Holy shit. That sounds like an animal's name in a Rudyard Kipling book.
So, when she does a trick will she still say "Ta-Da!"?
