It just occured to me how much resemblance "Cayden" bears to "Gayden".
Not good.
I bet any "-ayden" name will be turned into "Gayden" on the school yard if he's going to be the subject of taunts anyway, but hopefully the kids get creative and start chasing Cayden Costner around yelling it in ludicrously fake Boston and Britsh accents.
Urgh. Cayden Costner is so bad. I read somewhere that he wanted to use Henry and his wife wanted Crash (or Cash? I can't remember which), so I guess this was their compromise. Considering his other kids' are Joe, Annie, Lily, and Liam, wow, does Cayden stick out.
Re -ayden names: I've seen Slayden, Zayden, and Blayden, too.

Hee, that's probably the point. Wyatt would have been the better first name.
Maybe his wife really liked it. Cause otherwise he seems to go the fairly normal route when it comes to names. Not that their not lovely, just common. And she wanted Crash? Seriously, though...thats just not right. Although Henry is quite nice imo.

I think Braden is a portmanteau of Brady and Hayden, which is itself related to Aidan, Aedán, etc. Cayden, yeah, conjured out of the clear blue sky. Horrible sounding name. Made-up names make me want to call my hypothetical children the most boring, traditional names imaginable.

Because naming a kid after a character your husband played in a movie isn't at all pathetic....
They missed an opportunity. Clearly, they should have gone with Dances with Costner.
Personally I like Tin Costner.

Isn't his wife half his age? If so, it doesn't surprise me that she would choose a horrible name like Cayden. I know a lot of young girls who are giving their children god awful names these days. Hell, I even met another Jayden this morning and immediately thought of this thread.
I hate that Jaiden/Jayden is the It name because that's my niece's name. Damn it!
