Cary Elwes and his wife Lisa Marie (not the Presley) have a new baby girl named Dominique. I like it. It's a huge step up from Lisa Marie, isn't it?

No problem, Unlucky Bear. Rhyming is fun, and I was helluva lot better at the rhymes than actual jump-roping (I could barely manage single dutch).
And Dominique Elwes has a nice ring to it. It's a bit princessy, but that's not necessarily a bad thing, and that could just stem from what I associate Cary Elwes with.

Keisha Castle-Hughes and her bf have welcomed a daughter named Felicity-Amore.
If it's Felicity-Amore Castle-Hughes (or, for that matter, Castle-Hughes-Hull), then that's just a thousand times worse.

Happy-Love? Blech. That's pretty cheesy. Of course, if I had given birth at 17, the name would have been something like Malone Kylie, so she's one up on me. Felicity Hull or Felicity Castle-Hughes is quite respectable.

The hyphenation frenzy on that one is making my head spin. Are there even any spaces in that name, or is it all hypens?
kai- 04-30-2007
Felicity Amore is cute and serviceable, but one hopes the hyphen was a typo.
Actonbell- 04-30-2007
Felicity-Amore does have a very teen mother ring to it.
Miss Moneypenny- 04-30-2007
I think Felicity Hull is a perfectly fine name. I really doubt they're going to call her by her full, six syllable name on a daily basis.
Scarlettfish- 04-30-2007
Agreed. Felicity is a nice name (minus the silly -Amore thing, but who regularly uses their middle name anyway?)

Bryce Dallas Howard announced her son's full name is Theodore Norman Howard Gabel. Norman is after her husband's grandfather (Gabel is her husband's last name).
I freaking love it. Theodore is elegant, Theo is quirky and adorable, and the whole thing together is completely respectable and un-Hollywood. Yay, Bryce and Mr. Bryce!

I think Felicity-Amore is actually kind of sad. Keisha Castle-Hughes has taken a lot of hits because she's a teen mom, and she basically named her baby Happy-Love. It's a shot at her critics. That said, Felicity Hull is fine.
I love Theodore Gabel. It's a adult name with a thousand possible nicknames.

I heard she named him Theo because she read that it mean Gift of God. Which, awww. Also Howard is a last name that works as a middle name. And her husband is really pretty. Seriously. I spent the entire second season of Nip/Tuck wishing they had cast him as Matt McNamara (instead of just Famke Janssen and Alec Baldwin's crazy ass son), so I wouldnt have to look at Jon Hensley anymore.
I still cant get over Opie being a grandpa though

My semester of Greek tells me that, yes, Theodore does mean Gift of God (theo=God, dore=gift). All the different parts of the name are very elegant together.
And I really don't mind Felicity Amore that much. Felicity is a lovely name, even if it does make me think of the American Girl doll more than anything.
Unlucky Bear- 04-30-2007
Heh. Word. I loooooove the name Felicity. But I'm actually planning on naming my future daughter Samantha. And it is TOTALLy after the American Girl doll.

Ethan Suplee, of My Name Is Earl, Boy Meets World, Remember the Titans, etc., and his wife welcomed their second daughter, Billie Grace. On the surface, not great, but not horrible. But consider their other daughter's name: Frances Clementine. How can you go from the delicate loveliness of that to a boy's nickname + an overused middle name? Bah, bah, I say! Also, his wife has two children from a previous marriage, Bella and Lily, so Billie sounds like they smushed those two together.
Keri Russell is supposedly due any day. I have high hopes for her. *crosses fingers*
