I also like how the kids wear each other's hand me downs. In a year or two, Shiloh will be probably rocking that Black Sabbath shirt.

The video of it is really cute. You can hear Zahara's little voice, pointing out the paparazzis. She seems to find them amusing now.

$20 says Zahara got that shirt from Maddox. It looks like it's too big for her. If it was a Ramones shirt, it'd be a definite.

The Sustainable Design Competition for New Orleans, co-sponsored by Global Green and Brad Pitt. The competition jury selected a project called GreeN.O.LA. It's interesting and looks like a good plan for rebuilding the community in the 9th ward, but the modern design doesn't exactly scream New Orleans to me. All of the designs were like that, though. I don't really understand why green designs can't have a more traditional look to them. I did find this pro-*test*-('") entry to raise an interesting point.

That's an interesting competition. I agree, though, about the more traditional look. I mean, New Orleans is not ever going to be the same anyway, of course, but at least they could try to rebuild in the more traditional/historical style.

The thing about the traditional designs is that very many styles were disastrously inefficient. To build green takes very careful planning of the house for natural cooling and heating, choosing light positions, in some cases even orientation for wind capture. You can't whack some low usage appliances into a traditional looking place, slap on a solar panel and call it good sustainable design. Even adding a traditional facade would likely decrease efficiency.

It's more about function than a simple design choice, in other words.

Topic? I like that Brad's got his own causes unconnected to Jolie. It makes him seem less like a hanger-on in the advocacy business.

So, I was gawking at the la-*test*-('") Britney meltdown cover, and I was struck by the Brangelina inset. "After the split....Will Brad get Shiloh?"

Just...OMG. Right, because of course why would he even care about those other three. And yeah, yeah, it's obviously bullshit, and stupid to get annoyed by it, but it just continues to bug me, and this was the last straw. And the thing is, I think it's meant to show Brad as the "good one". The non-crazy one who's not all obsessed with orphans and whom Shiloh will actually be safe with. Which, I mean, do they not see how frickin' offensive that is? Do they not see how that makes Brad look? And it's just constant. "Brad wants to introduce Shiloh to Jen", "Angelina threatens to take Shiloh away", "Angelina won't let grandparents see Shiloh unless they stop talking to Jen", etc. The message is clearly supposed to be what a crazy, fucked-up, jealous, domineering shrew Angelina is, but mostly what I get is how can any writer completely devalue adoption like this?

So, wait...are they actually supposed to be splitting up? Or did the tabloid just make that up? It seems so unlikely.

According to InTouch (I think), Angelina weighs 90 pounds, is thinking about adopting twins, and Brad has moved into his own apartment in Berlin because they fought about adopting said twins.

So, no, they haven't broken up. The tabs are just cycling the Brangelina headlines.

I think AJ is aware of the way her adopted children are being treated by the tabs, and I certainly believe she and Brad strongly reject tha kind of thinking in their home. Maddox, Pax, and Zahara all consider Brad to be their father, and no stupid tabloid can undo that.

Depending on which tabloid you read, they are either breaking up or getting married.

Yeah, it is annoying how the tabloid media treats Shiloh like the only child that matters to Brad. I think the weirdest implication is that now that Brad has his blonde, blue eyed child, he should take her and go back to Jen so that everything will be back to "normal".
